In Islam a woman holds equal rights as well, however this user well...he does seem to have a different understanding which I do not support at all and he enjoys generalising the west.
I'm really sorry , however I feel you're generalising and stereotyping us a bit too much? The majority of Shiites I know practises their faith out of convinction. They believe Imam Ali(AS) to be the rightful successor after Rasulullah SAW. They agree with the concept of Imamate they commemorate...
A lot of Shia Muslims marry Sunnis, I feel it depends on how strongly somebody is attached to his/her Shiite beliefs, I personally would not have a problem marrying a non-Shia Muslim, as long as he respects my adherence to the school of ahlbait.

For me it is not necessary about converting someone to the school of ahlbait, but just to change the image they have of Shiites in general.

Beating a woman is an act of cowardice, how weak does a man's ego have to be if he directs violence towards a lady? And in my opinion any physically-abused female should speak out and get herself support, we should not tolerate such kind of behaviour within the Islamic community.
First of all one should mention that the word "Shia" means someone who is a follower or a party.
There were two types of Shiites who were present at Kufa. One party supported Imam Hussein(AS), for they hated Yazeed, they did not consider Imam Hussein(AS) to be the righteous successor, they had...
