    Catholic answers to protestant questions

You know those statements protestants make about how Catholics don't follow the bible and how they take the quotes out of context and all that. How do Catholics justify these? I once heard a protestant say that the reason Catholics are oppossed to abortion, is because they live on the fetuses...

The idea of "one world government"

Something I like to compare it to, is a natural progression of man, at the start we were seperated into tribes, that formed into city states, which became petty kingdoms and eventually our modern nations, so one world government seems a natural progression.

The idea of "one world government"

That is US policy in Iraq, so unless America is a dictatorship, your point is invalid.

The idea of "one world government"

I think you can enforce things, if you have enough fire power. You give people enough exposure to a good thing, while stopping them from being violent against it (in their ignorance of course) then they will start to see the good.

The idea of "one world government"

European Union ***** Yeah. I'd say Muslims and Christians living side by side, different races and cultures living side by side, is the EU a dictatorship? No it is a democracy.

The idea of "one world government"

What do you think about it, what problems do you find with the idea? Create a human cultural identity rather then a national one (which in my oppinion makes a lot more sense, then nationalism, which is little more then glorified tribalism)

    Living as a taoist

I have read the Tao te Ching, while it is a bit confusing in some parts, it is mostly easy to understand, but moving throughout life smoothly, that is something I need some advice on, maybe a few examples?

    The remake of The Omen

If you haven't do not read this thread, or do if you don't care. In th end the priest, who is about to murder the anti-christ child, ends up getting shot by an FBI agent, was I the only one who read into that, that the secular beliefs of man, doom them to apocolypse? Just wondering if anybody...

I love the ritual but the faith

Humanism is too individualist, in my oppnion the individuel dosn't really matter in the grand scheme of things.

I love the ritual but the faith

As I said, I love the rituals of catholicism, espcially the Latin Mass, I was raised cafeteria Catholic, we never went to church, they actually allowed me to grow up free of religion and let me choose my own. I practically "indoctrinated" myself, but I am not Christian anymore, I left for a...
