This is very true. I'm friends with some Muslims and they're good, sensible people who get a bad name from some more extremist figures.
Though, the protests by extremists muslims in the western world for Sharia law do frighten me... and the 'Sharia Law' zones I've heard about in the United...
There are malignant kami and there are benevolent kami. Just as there are people. The more friendly kami, the ones that receive worship, are indeed our friends and care about us.
Go for it!
I have a Tumblr about Shintoism / Japan / Spiritualism and its not as bad as you'd think. There's a very nice community of accepting spiritual people on Tumblr. Pagans reblog Shinto stuff, Shinto blogs reblog Buddhist stuff, Taoist blogs reblog Hindu stuff, it's really nice and we...
I find it interesting.
Plus, since I'm related to Matthew Perry, whenever I go over to Japan I get a lot of "Wow Sugoi!" and bowing. In reality, I have pretty much zero of his DNA but hey it makes trips more interesting and certainly surprised my host family over there.

That's terrible. The more I hear about the Gaza conflict the less hopeful I become of there ever being a peaceful solution. The worst part of it all there is nothing we can really do but watch.
Three of us.
If that happens I feel things would only get worse. The possibility of a war to kick ISIS out seems likely if they were to bar off oil to the west.

I agree with Functional Atheist.
The saying applies more to not getting to attached to possessions. If ones life becomes all about attaining physical things then it's hit the point where it's unhealthy and negative emotions and feelings like greed and selfishness come into play. That's what...
I'm sorry we couldn't discuss this like adults. I was quite enjoying the conversation. However, 'lying to protect my opinion' is not in the slightest what I am doing. I am not a member of the Tenri or Konko churches; Infact I disagree quite a bit with a lot of their central teachings. Lying to...
