    Is genealogy pointless?

    I find it interesting. Plus, since I'm related to Matthew Perry, whenever I go over to Japan I get a lot of "Wow Sugoi!" and bowing. In reality, I have pretty much zero of his DNA but hey it makes trips more interesting and certainly surprised my host family over there.
