Eh my country's alright. I don't consider my self a patriot by any means but I do recognize that I have it a lot better of where I live than millions of other people.

I love my country. There are a lot of things here (ie. freedoms, etc) which I think are worthy and worth fighting for (whether by words, or perhaps more dependent on situation).

I would readily admit my country is full of faults, as all countries are, but think it's pretty special compared to most, and I am lucky to live here.

I'm a mad sports nut, so watch my share of cricket, but it's gotta be said, it's not exactly my first choice sport.

Work with a LOT of Indians and Sri Lankans, so it always help to be able to have an informed discussion about cricket to establish some rapport...lol

I like the idea and ideal of America as symbolized in the Statue of Liberty, but the reality of it is pretty lacking.

One way is by creating a concept with no true substance in order to project to it whatever superficial virtues one finds most convenient to defend.

In lots of ways it is much like belief in God, in that it may be and often is indeed used to travest derangement into the appearance of virtue.
