    Do You Believe In Fate?

Yes and no because there is fate and there isn't. If something is predetermined, set in stone, it will happen and there is nothing you can do about it. Almost everything is changing and where would we be without faith?

    Loving yet wrathful?

does the G-d of the old testament not compute with the loving G-d of the new testament? I'd like to play devil's advocate and throw this verse out there: Ezekiel 18:21-23 21"But if the (D)wicked man turns from all his sins which he has committed and observes all My statutes and practices...

    Are you excused?

Leviticus 19:27 ' You shall not round off the side-growth of your heads nor harm the edges of your beard. I'm Christian and I don't keep a beard so I don't feel this applies to me. Am I excused? Remember, Matthew 5:18 "For truly I say to you, until heaven and earth pass away, not the...

    Keeping Kosher should Christians?

Mark 7:18-20 18And He said to them, "Are you so lacking in understanding also? Do you not understand that whatever goes into the man from outside cannot defile him, 19because it does not go into his heart, but into his stomach, and is eliminated?" (Thus He declared (A)all foods (B)clean.)...

    Mixing Materials?

Matthew 5:18 "For truly I say to you, until heaven and earth pass away, not the smallest letter or stroke shall pass from the Law until all is accomplished. Love your neighbor as yourself for a lot of the old laws about striking down the wicked but there are others that we really have no...

    meaningless tradition?

Deuteronomy 11:18-19 18"(E)You shall therefore impress these words of mine on your heart and on your soul; and you shall bind them as a sign on your hand, and they shall be as frontals on your forehead. 19"(F)You shall teach them to your sons, talking of them when you sit in your house and...

Did Jesus Christ die for us or.....

Mark 10:17-19 17(A)As He was setting out on a journey, a man ran up to Him and (B)knelt before Him, and asked Him, "Good Teacher, what shall I do to (C)inherit eternal life?" 18And Jesus said to him, "Why do you call Me good? No one is good except God alone. 19"You know the commandments...

What is man that you make so much of him?

I think Job is being tested while he says this and he is in pain and wants to be left alone while the psalm is a joyous melody from king David going on to express love.

How long should a inmate be kept alive?

This came from a question on another thread about the death penalty How long, as a tax payer, would you be willing to keep someone alive who is in prison but refuses to work (make license plates, dig holes, mop floors etc.)? Today 1% of the U.S. population is in jail. and for Christians...

    Why do people get angry?

maybe this shouldn't be under general religious debates but then again maybe it should. my attempt to answer leads me to this because they dont get what they want why because there isn't enough to go around ...but there is... all we need to do is find a way to distribute what is needed where...

what if Person A wants to rest when person B is resting...etc. Whole neighborhoods could be choosing to rest the same day and hang out and play games...that could be way too many people having their sabbath at the same time...just a thought

Why the Ten Commandments but not the Ten Commandments?

not a single stroke shall fall away from the law until...oh hell let me copy and paste Matthew 5:18 "For truly I say to you, until heaven and earth pass away, not the smallest letter or stroke shall pass from the Law until all is accomplished.

Does anyone really think the book of mormon is compatible with the bible?

Ive seen buddhist monks rage in fighting with other monks over their land where they meditate. I've heard of christian mothers drowning their children and supposedly saying it was to save them. There are 6 billion people and alot of nut jobs but I also think that regardless of what faith you...

Do the teachings of Jesus allow us to judge?

don't judge or else you'll be judged, why do you look at the speck of saw dust in your brothers eye. first take out the speck from your own eye and you will see clearly... its all right there, i dont really see the question. Don't judge unless you want to be judged. Are you allowed to? it...

    The Authors

you remind me of Josiah, not from the bible, he investigated veeeerrrrry deeply and had books and books about various religious issues and eventually he decided to become ignostic (term meaning they don't know either way). What instances do prophets act differently? I guess I'm saying im not...

    what if...a different day

the bible says nothing about a day of rest having to be the same for everyone, does it? Though a country would permanently lose 1/7th of their workforce, people usually have time off anyway, a government could just cram it into one day...what do you think about this...and i got a private...

What Makes Capital Punishment Compatible With Christianity?

he was talking about whether to pay a tax or not. Taking things out of context like this is dangerous. For example: Acts 1:13 When they arrived, they went upstairs to the room where they were staying. Those present were Peter, John, James and Andrew; Philip and Thomas, Bartholomew and...
