It's never been about the best. It's been about the best of those who have managed to work there way into the limelight. The American people would never vote for the best. He/she would be too elitist, too educated and too boring to win any kind of election.
She is qualified. She knows the office, knows those she has to deal with, knows how to get things done in Washington, and has a history of diplomacy. Obama was less qualified. But was a vast improvement to Trump even if we discount policy choices.
