That's all that
I mean, I think that's what all faithful endeavors are... Sufi, Christian, Hindu, it's all the same; people trying to figure out who they are and what they think and what it meaningful
I think the point of faith is that it doesn't matter if something is real, or tangible. Arguably, a theist trying to prove their deity of choice exists is a non-argument; meaning it can only go one way and it isn't productive.
Instead, the theist should focus on what their faith does for them...
We recognize, of course, that biological activity doesn't give a two hoots about political boundaries, right? Or are we assuming that isolating one population from another would somehow put an end to variants and mutations?
How many times do we have to get the flu vaccine because it mutates...
I find it amusing when theists presume to speak for Atheists without actually talking to them... We're right here. Ask us what we actually think.
None of the OP's points are Atheistic contentions that I've ever encountered. I actually find they have more in common with people simply questioning...
Atheist here. Hi.
I think about death often and I'm not ashamed to admit I'm a bit scared of it too. But when I really ponder it, that fear isn't based on what's "beyond death" or anything like that. It's really just the knowledge and realization that I'll be missing out on things, like the...
As someone who was raised in the religious South, it took a very long time for me to "leave the faith". I practiced and tried to years (most of my life) to believe in something that I always thought was silly and forced. Hell, I even went to college for it...

I'm constantly perplexed by why we expect basic titles or terms to offer more insight than they're actually worth.
I love this idea.
I think an important preface is necessary, however, for laypeople reading through this thread later. While you may see some discussion or "debate" about certain sticking points, that should not be misinterpreted as flaws in the Theory itself. Sticklers "bickering" over very...
A very similar article I read recently also said that most canned tunas contain more than just tuna. And that a similar result of no identifiable DNA was found in fancy tuna cans as well...
All I really know is that now I'm craving a tuna melt from Subway.
I find that the same Christians who admit that men can be automatically sexually attracted to other women outside of their marriage, and subsequently use that argument to explain why women should submit to the "needs" of their husbands, have the hardest time admitting that same truth can exist...
