Maybe Sarah Palin will be elected President of the United States in 2012, and we'll just wish it was the end of the world.
Even the mere thought that might happen makes me despair and wish it were the end of the world.

The Web Bot project was implemented in the 90s to follow stock market ebbs and tides by simply searching word trends online. So it may be useful for detecting patterns in the stock fluctuations or pop culture rumblings online, but not predicting as in the incidents you claim above. Post the precise wording for each event as "predicted" by Web Bot and we can determine whether it was like most predictions: vague, insubstantial and applicable to just about any event. The only reason 2012 is in Web Bots' sights is that the internet is all aflutter with 2012 doomsday talk. Nothing else. It's not unlike Y2K- the internet was on fire with cataclysmic disasters and talk of the collapse of society, and if the Web Bot was around at the time it would've "predicted" the same thing. There's nothing predictive in anything you've mentioned here.Other WEBBOT Past Predictions that came true:
<snip examples>
One of the first accurate predictions took place in June of 2001. It predicted that a life-altering event would take place within the next 60-90 days and the effects would be felt worldwide. It based its prediction on "web chatter" and the prediction proved accurate when the Twin Towers fell on 9/11/2001.
This are all just coincidence? maybe
This is only one example of predictions made that have come true.
<snip cultural examples>Well i think something is going to happen. Many groups/civilizations have predicted that something IS going to happen. For example:
All I'm saying is that you are lucky that your cheek isn't here for me to pinch it.What are you talking about?
I know what Y2K is.
and it's not 2012.
It's Year 2 Thousand.
I don't know why K is 1000, but it is.
Are you making fun of me?
Very well, but:
(1) What, specifically, do they say is going to happen?
(2) When, specifically do they say it is going to happen?
(3) What is the source for each prophecy?
A lot of nonsense has been circulated about this kind of thing. In most cases (supposed Maori prophecy, for instance) I'm not in a position to know anything about the subject. However, I'd like to see some solid sources for all these wild claims, especially when I read things like this:
[/color]
According to traditional Hindu belief, Kali Yuga lasts 432,000 years, and we're only a little more than 5,000 years into it.
Whether the prophecies of various civilizations are worth taking seriously is another question, but in all this apocalyptic fever I have yet to see any convincing evidence that such prophecies even exist.
No they don't and no it hasn't. Examples?Mayans, Cherokee, Egyptians
All of there calenders end in the year 2012
Nostradamus' writings also refer to this time frame
American culture through the use of a program WEB-BOT has also predicted significant changes occurring in this time period.
If you need a more detailed explanation, google it.
All I'm saying is that you are lucky that your cheek isn't here for me to pinch it.
No they don't and no it hasn't. Examples?
It's short for kilo, meaning a thousand.I don't know why K is 1000, but it is.
The year 2000 brought on a bunch of nonsensical hysteria that the world would collapse, particularly anything banking related. Per Wiki':Eh... I still don't get it.
But I guess I'm lucky that you aren't here to pinch my face, I suppose.
I explained these already in my previous post. Web Bot has not predicted anything. The Mayan calendar does not refer to the end of the world in 2012.Web-bot has predicted events that have come true.
as i stated in an earlier post
Mayans refer to it as the galactic alignment with the dark rift that all speculate around this period in time.
I'm running naked through the streets on the day of as a kind of apocalyptic Pascal's Wager. Hey, it can't hurt.I still say we should all hide in 2012. Just to be on the safe side.
That's pretty ridiculous even the standards of the History Channel.
I always thought Y2K was a stupid abbreviation, though.
When I say "specific," I mean specific. In other words, no vague and unsourced claims like this one. Exactly which Mayans refer to it? In what writings do they refer to it? Do they mention 2012? What, exactly, do they say? If you can't provide that kind of information, you've got nothing.Mayans refer to it as the galactic alignment with the dark rift that all speculate around this period in time.
I explained these already in my previous post. Web Bot has not predicted anything. The Mayan calendar does not refer to the end of the world in 2012.
You're misinformed.
I'm just hoping all the 2012 enthusiasts will have the strength of their convictions and give away all their earthly belongings like the 19th-century Millerites. I could use a new blender.I'm running naked through the streets on the day of as a kind of apocalyptic Pascal's Wager. Hey, it can't hurt.
