58 Palestinians killed in Jerusalem protests

I didn't know 50 killed were Hamas members. But still it doesn't justify Zionism against Britain or bulldozing settlements
That doesn't mean they were armed or anything. Hamas is a political party, too. They're not all militants. Multiple children, a doctor and a medic were killed, too.

Much of what I heard on NPR today from an Israel rep is that there
are people whom it's OK to kill because they're that kind of people.
But it's not a sustainable view. No matter what the justification,
the potential consequences look far far worse than seeking peace.
The many allies of they dead & dying will react hostilly, & perhaps
with greater unity.
Can Israel stand up to them all?
Is standing up this way evil?
Will they fight Iran...Russia?
Will they summon Americastan to pour money & lives into an escalating conflict?
Turkish Newspaper Close To President Erdogan Calls To Form Joint Islamic Army To Fight Israel
Russia condemns Iran's calls to destroy Israel, but also tells Jerusalem that Tehran is not the problem

My guess is this; the two state solution is dead, and the situation will devolve into somewhat resembling Apartheid South Africa.

Given that Democrats and Independents are both trending away from sympathizing with Israel and moving towards sympathizing with the occupied territories, and that they make up 2/3rds of Americans, the possibility of the US flipping back drastically in line with UN positions, or just unilaterally disengaging with Israel, should probably be somewhat concerning to your average Israeli.

Yea, it is written in the Book of Cyril...

"Devolve"? You think it could get more appartheid-like than it already is?

They weren't. But expect that to be the narrative that gets pushed, because shooting unarmed civilians, including children and identifiable medical staff becomes magically ok if you can slap a label on them.

Yes, it is a mess. And if it were not for our Bible based beliefs in the U.S. they would not have the staunch ally that allows them to get away with so much. Not that Israel did not get a bit of a raw deal early on in its history, but the people they are now opposing are not the same that they originally displace, but mostly their sons and daughters. Wait, wait!! We have another precedent. Adam ate the apple and passed down the blame to his kids, I guess Israel can oppress endless generations of Palestinians. It is so nice that one can support almost all beliefs by using the Bible:rolleyes:
Don't blame the Bible for American gutter protestant support of Israeli excesses. Blame bad Bible fan fiction. The Rapture-3rd Temple-Armageddon nonsense these people believe is not Biblical.

It has far more to do with the works of Sitchin and The Late Great Planet Earth and similar than it does even a quite literal reading of Revelation.

Definitely. But I in particular meant that international audiences will slowly start reacting more and more to the situation in the way they did to South Africa. Of course, there are plenty of differences between those two things, but I suspect, internationally, they will end looking very similar.

Thanks for explaining your meaning. I understand now. Well, I guess... here's hoping you're right.
