Hades means 'hell'. It's like a milder version of Hell. The translators obviously knew their own language.Well, there are only three or four of us In this thread that are consistently posting, and answering posts.

Do you then believe everyone who approaches God in prayer and begs for an understanding will end up with the same beliefs as you? There are many ways to prove this.
When one approaches God in prayer and begs for an understanding of His Word,He responds.

I doubt thatThe things that cause one person doubt will cause everyone to doubt. Personal doubt is an individual thing.
Actually, I mistyped. I meant to say that something that causes one person to doubt, may not cause everyone to doubt. Sorry for the confusion on that.I doubt that
If there really was a god, there wouldn't be all of this confusion and multiple factions of belief.

I understand where you are coming from. I look at this as a non-dualist (God and creation are not-two). God separates Himself from Himself into finite forms and then returns Himself to Himself. It is all a divine/play drama and we are meant to use our reason and spiritual effort to return to the source. Early in the journey these finite forms may disagree on some things into factions. But the key point to all these factions if they're worth anything should be brotherly love, peace and unselfishness; the rest is just details. Brotherly love, peace and unselfishness whether you are an atheist, Christian, Hindu, etc. is taking you on the path to eternal peace. If there really was a god, there wouldn't be all of this confusion and multiple factions of belief.
oh sure blame aIf there really was a god, there wouldn't be all of this confusion and multiple factions of belief.
Well I just saw the pictures of your cooking expertise. It looks so crazy good I'm going to immediately stop doubting anything you say about any biblical subject.No.They might have a deeper understanding or they might have a lesser one.Once blessed, some search for truth as one searches for gold. They look on the surface and pick up nuggets here and there, which is good. One that searches for truth as one that searches for silver will dig deeper and find riches beyond their imagination. Those who dig deep will be blessed with a deeper understanding about the Word of God.
Proverbs 2:3-5 .…3 For if you cry for discernment, Lift your voice for understanding; 4 If you seek her as silver And search for her as for hidden treasures; 5 Then you will discern the fear of the LORD And discover the knowledge of God.…

I have compiled all of the reasons that caused me to become an ex-Christian. This list hits Christianity from every conceivable angle. It may not prove it false, but it does so beyond a reasonable doubt.
What makes you say that?If there really was a god, there wouldn't be all of this confusion and multiple factions of belief.
No problem... it was a joke really. I should have put a smiley. My faultActually, I mistyped. I meant to say that something that causes one person to doubt, may not cause everyone to doubt. Sorry for the confusion on that.
Everything he said was in parablewhen Jesus talks about hell, it is clearly not a parable
