many talk of the pain and suffering of seperation , oh pain you are the ruler of all, ...
........Ram bi-ogi na ji-ai ji-ai ta ba-ura ho-e .
one who is seperated from the lord does not live , if he does live he goes insane .

I googled the title and wrote in transliteration , it came up with a site called 'The Sikh Archives'due to your Dharmic background/interest you are making very rapid progress in learning Gurmukhi ,which Gurbani site you are using as reference ?
is it Srigranth .org ?
.....Namaste Rati ji , yesterday i missed serva , mayaaaI googled the title and wrote in transliteration , it came up with a site called 'The Sikh Archives'
if you have one site who you think is more reliable for transliteration / translation , please tell me .:namaste
you can check the following site , i use it frequently
Sri Granth
absolutely , Gurbani = Buddha +Bhaktifor me to say "dharmic background" is very good as my understanding comes from both buddhism and vaishnava hinduism , ( which are prehaps to some people the oposite dharmic extremes) buddhism conciders dharma from one angle and places more empasis on personal realisation , vaishnavism places its empasis on bhakti , love of god , devotion and serva .some say the two canot be combined , but I am standing very happily in the middle made richer by both veiws .
nothing I have read so far seems in any way alien , what I wouldnt comprehend as a vaishnava , I can comprehend as a buddhist ,and visa versa .
please correct me if you feel that I am wrong but it would appear that the gurbani contains the same wisdom that a buddhist must eventualy find through meditation , the same wisdom that the gita seeks to explain .
Rati ji , if we check the complete shabad ,there is one line I would like you to explain ...
please make sure that I am understanding correctly ?
Nānak jīvṯi▫ā mar rahī▫ai aisā jog kamā▫ī▫ai.
O Nanak, remain dead while yet alive - practice such a Yoga.
is it like saying remain detatched from this material world ?
not living with material worldly concerns , but living with ones mind attatched to gobind ?

that is , while living in " midst of Maya " we should be untouched as lotus remains unwet in water .
