Shabads have a funny way of showing up - I forgot the name of 'kahia karna ditta lehna' the other day and I typed 'Gurbani shabad' into Youtube and it was one of the top recommendations. Waheguru!

OMG !!!! I can;t believe ,this was the next shabad i planned to share ,cheating ??tell tell :sarcastic ,very recently i shared this Shabad with a friend of mine .

I am not surprised it is so beautifull ....

when I am working I like to listen to some thing I can get absorbed in , so I am allways searching you tube , since you have introduced me to so many beautifull shabads I have been searching for the ones with transliteration and translation as it is better for me to fully understand , this one came up and it just stuck me as such beautifull simplicity that I wanted to post it :namaste

BABA, bolna kya kahiey

"BABA BOLNA KYA KAHIYE"....

"speak such words by which you may remain absorbed in the names of the lord "

this very much the same instruction that lord buddha gave , allthough buddha does not specificaly say god he constantly says ' truth ' , there are so many instructions on right speach , ... "speak in accordance with the truth" , ..."speak words that are condusive to realisation " ..."words that are pleasing to the heart " ....this has many layers of meaning , ..some buddhists will inturpret this as no more than do not lie but the more you reflect upon it the deeper meanings become apparent .

this was my meaning by discussing satsang ,

lord buddha says so many times do not keep the company of fools ,
by keeping the company of saintly persons our wisdom increases , ....

also it is said "do not engage in idle or vainglorious chatter"

so the words of kabeer and buddha speak the same beautifull truth

One Who Calls Himself A Sikh of The Guru, The True Guru - YouTube

by bhai Harjinder singh ji

Mėhlā 4.
Fourth Mehl:
Gur saṯgur kā jo sikẖ akẖā▫e so bẖalke uṯẖ har nām ḏẖi▫āvai.
One who calls himself a Sikh of the Guru, the True Guru, shall rise in the early morning hours and meditate on the Lord's Name.
Uḏam kare bẖalke parbẖāṯī isnān kare amriṯ sar nāvai.
Upon arising early in the morning, he is to bathe, and cleanse himself in the pool of nectar.
Upḏes gurū har har jap jāpai sabẖ kilvikẖ pāp ḏokẖ lėh jāvai.
Following the Instructions of the Guru, he is to chant the Name of the Lord, Har, Har. All sins, misdeeds and negativity shall be erased.
Fir cẖaṛai ḏivas gurbāṇī gāvai bahḏi▫ā uṯẖ▫ḏi▫ā har nām ḏẖi▫āvai.
Then, at the rising of the sun, he is to sing Gurbani; whether sitting down or standing up, he is to meditate on the Lord's Name.
Jo sās girās ḏẖi▫ā▫e merā har har so gursikẖ gurū man bẖāvai.
One who meditates on my Lord, Har, Har, with every breath and every morsel of food - that GurSikh becomes pleasing to the Guru's Mind.
Jis no ḏa▫i▫āl hovai merā su▫āmī ṯis gursikẖ gurū upḏes suṇāvai.
That person, unto whom my Lord and Master is kind and compassionate - upon that GurSikh, the Guru's Teachings are bestowed.
Jan Nānak ḏẖūṛ mangai ṯis gursikẖ kī jo āp japai avrah nām japāvai. ||2||
Servant Nanak begs for the dust of the feet of that GurSikh, who himself chants the Naam, and inspires others to chant it. ||2||
