No one is truly what they aren't.They are trying to avoid damaging their bodies. If one is biologically male and transgender puberty does damage to one's body from that perspective. Puberty blocking drugs are not perfect, but they do appear to be a reasonable compromise. Let's say that it actually a passing belief. Getting off of the puberty blockers allows one to return to "normal". But if one is truly transgender going through puberty will make irreversible changes that will make it even harder for person to be accepted as he or she is.
