God sets the standards for moral behavior through by sending messengers who reveal teachings and laws. Social and cultural norms are based upon religious teachings.
To me it means the willingness to listen to other perspectives and discuss them, which is what I do, day in, day out. I then share what I believe because that is all I know. I do see other peoples' perspectives but I am not obligated to agree with them when they go against my beliefs. To say I agree would be dishonest, but I can disagree respectfully. We all can.
If God created humans then free will comes from God.
Thanks for sharing your views on these things. I understand your position. We all view things from our own lenses. I look through a God lens so I see things differently, but we can learn from each other. Our standards are set between ourselves. It's a graduation from history through religious politics and cultural norms. It's not a god thing. People believe god does or that; but, at the end, its all about us.
God didn't create humans; so, free will is based on the norms and laws of society. I have free will to kill someone; but, the law prevents. I could still do it, but, like god and sin, there are still consequences. The issue with god, though, is a religious belief. It's not a law nor an absolute for all people. So, if I sin against god, only the person who believes in that god sees it as a sin. While if I break a societal law it doesn't matter what state I am in (and what country for that matter), it still holds legal consequences.

That means Jesus is not God.Mark 10:18. Take no credit.
