If you read the link I provided you will see that the native Americans already had small pox and that they gave it to the people in the fort.Well considering they were given infected blankets and following, thousands died of smallpox i guess it could have worked
Also, the bison almost went extinct as there was a policy to kill them so as to starve the indigenous. Some of the "war heroes" became as such with how many of the Indians they could kill under their command.

Why do people say colonization wiped out Native Americans when most of them died from European disease? I guess it was colonization really but people make it sound like they died in war.
Smallpox was endemic in the environment at that time. There is no way to know where they got it. I certainly read the link you posted. It is from a questionable source, a source with an obvious agenda of promoting a particular native American perspective. My link supplements it with additional content. As the History Channel link I provided states, there is only one well documented case. And that case doesn't justify some of charges and allegations made about putative use of smallpox blankets by colonial people.I wonder where they contracted smallpox?
Im guessing you didn't read the link i provided did you?
Here, let me make it easy for you...
The British give smallpox-contaminated blankets to Shawnee and Lenape (Delaware) communities—an action sanctioned by the British officers Sir Jeffery Amherst and his replacement, General Thomas Gage.“Out of our regard to them … we gave them two Blankets and an Handkerchief out of the Small Pox Hospital. I hope it will have the desired effect.” —An eyewitness, quoted in Elizabeth A. Fenn, Pox Americana: The Great Smallpox Epidemic of 1775–81, 2001There are conflicting stories, but it appears that infected blankets were given to natives.
This.Because those diseases would never have arrived in the new world, without colonization.
Many died in war and acts of war over colonization. Why do people say colonization wiped out Native Americans when most of them died from European disease? I guess it was colonization really but people make it sound like they died in war.
Denial is a form of delusion or deliberate deception. Too much is evident. Quit denying. That is a myth.
Identifying something as a myth doesn't mean denial. Perhaps you should look up the definition of myth before casting aspersions.Denial is a form of delusion or deliberate deception. Too much is evident. Quit denying.

"Before"? There was smallpox among the native Americans since 1500. That was over 150 years before the incident you referenced. Furthermore you completely went by the fact that the native Americans there gave smallpox to the British, NOT the other way around. So it could be argued that the native Americans were attempting to use smallpox against the British and not vice versa. In addition smallpox is indiscriminate. It killed native Americans and Europeans alike. So arguing that one side could use it against the other is impractical if not impossible. Yes, you said one case (and possibly more). But the one and only case you have referenced is dubious at best. Moreover it is no case at all. In other words, you haven't produced a single case in support of your case.Funny thst they never had smallpox before. And you will note i did say one case, possibly more

Versus zero of the "invaders"[sic]. The whole meme of Europeans deliberately giving smallpox to native Americans is ludicrous. They lacked both the understanding nor the capability to do so. Furthermore it is anachronistic to ascribe to them the current understanding of racism. One case of natives giving smallpox to invaders. Deliberately or not?

Next he'll tell us that The Trail of Tears actually refers to tears of joy.Sheesh poor innocent invaders sont know **** eh?
BTW, doctors were among those invaders
Edit
Having researched a little more i return to my original post there is one documented case of 2 inflected blankets and a handkerchief being given to natives. It appears to be the case i cited in my original post.
The actual problem is worse. People who view history with their own biased preconceptions are hurting themselves. Oh, and do you think native Americans didn't have doctors among them? That would be racist. If you bother to read the History Channel post I cited you would see that you have referenced the same case. So far you have produced zero documented cases. Here we go. The last tactic of those that can't make their case, to attempt to change the subject. How about you first admit that it is a myth that Europeans used blankets to attempt to spread smallpox among native Americans.Next he'll tell us that The Trail of Tears actually refers to tears of joy.
