Ancient gospel of Jesus' Wife 'not a fake'.

I'm going to have to agree with Jayhawker here. That scrap proves nothing. Even if Jesus was married, it wouldn't put a dent in Christian claims; in fact, if He was married, that would have been very helpful to the Church in the early centuries of Christianity, and we would be touting that proudly today.

Because the claims are mythical; and myths get no dents.

I have to totally disagree with this statement. If Jesus did have a wife, it would lead more credence to him having children. Which if he did, then they would essentially become the only begotten grandchildren of God. This would likely have created quite a ruckus considering that Jesus was killed for treason against the empire.

If it were true would anyone be up for a Davinci's Code style search for the son of the son of God?:p

Search over... You can contact me at nash8 on ReligiousForums.com... :D

True enough. Anonymous authors wrote Jesus gospels that contradict one another, yet it matters not.

It matters in that you analyze the contradictions, amongst other things, and come to the most accurate conclusion of what happened. Almost all of what we consider as the basic for logic and philosophy was written anonymously, and with many contradictions, does that count matter not?

If Jesus was unmarried that would be an abberation so extraordinary to his society that it would not have gone without mention. So that he was married would be a safe assumption.

The church however would have had good reason to remove his wife from scripture, and it would have been very easy to do so.

You come with an excellent point.

Jesus must have got married and must have had children; otherwise he would be considered as impotent; sorry to state and I take refuge with the One-True-God.

The Christians conceal it.

Anybody who had studied it; please mention ethical, moral and spiritual teachings that Jesus gave for the benefit of all of us.
