The Democratic Party is a coalition of various groups, not a unitary entity. Some people, like AOC, are self-described democratic socialists. Others, like Tim Ryan, are not. The Democratic Party as an entity, is not socialist, since nothing in its platform says so.

Sure. Find me a single Republican who openly says they are fascist like Democrat's who openly say their socialists. I'll patiently wait.

Even accepting that Marxist schemata necessarily lead to authoritarianism (I don't believe they do, though Lezsek Kolakowski was probably right that Stalinism was a legitimate instantiation of Marxism), anarchists and non-Marxist socialists like the followers of Proudhon criticized Marx for his incipient authoritarianism from the get-go. And even during the establishment of the USSR and pre-WW2 communism , the German SPD offered a Marxian social democratic alternative

I suggest you watch the video again. She said, this proves socialism wins. Where "this" is clearly a reference to her platform. Which is an uncontroversial assessment of the things that get voters out and voting in most countries on Earth.

Health and social care systems, housing programs, universal education, unions and labour power, public utilities and transport systems and progressive taxation are socialist ideas that have improved the lives of billions of people over the last century. They are so popular that right leaning parties often steal and champion these policies in order to win votes because "handing everything to a tiny class of property owners and rentiers" is oddly enough rather unappealing to everyone except a tiny class of parasites.

This also shows the proposition that socialism leads inexorably to the gulag to be ahistorical propaganda that it is. Just ignorant nonsense.

I wouldn't worry that this is any kind of sea change.
Most lefties (& righties) don't even know what "socialism" is.
They often use the term to describe any social or infrastructure
program they like, eg, roads, welfare, education.
But watch out for some like AOC, who really does want to
ditch capitalism for a centralized command economy.
