All this reference to "death squad" is strange. I am not nor does Camping wish anyone to be dead. We are not waging wars, stealing, raping, murdering anyone. We are simply reading a book and saying it looks like this silly old book has a clock within it, and it appears this silly clock is about to come to an end.

Why some people want to cry cult or death squad is beyond me, as I don't wish death on anyone
Talk about taking something too serious! :areyoucra

Not you perhaps but I've met people not just Christians who believe in a doomsday theory and express great satisfaction in the idea that lots of people are going to die and go to hell.

I get that, but I have not met anyone like that.

For me, it is like this. When I was a child and my mom said at 3 o'clock we are going to the store. I simply listened and of course at 3 we went. Didn't really have an opinion.

So it is the same for this stuff, I read a LOT of information and researched till I was blue in the face, and it appears what he is teaching is possibly true.

Camping admits if this happens it will be both an extremely terrible day and at the same time a joyous day. I would agree, and if it happens, that is my only opinion. I realize if it does happen, I could be one of the people to be left here chilling out under the wrath of God. That would suck greatly, but I can't control anything.

Anyway, it is all just very interesting to me, and I like to share it when people can be rational headed enough to not assume I am a death squad leader, or thrilled that millions might die, as if I get pleasure from such things.

Anyway, that's my view for now...

I almost wish I had listened to the Heaven's Gate folks now. To think I could have boarded the Hale Bop comet and be watching this end through a telescope from my new home instead of being here for it. :(

Nah, if you don't want to be with God on that day, no worries, just chill out here and have fun, and when you die it will be over. No eternal punishment or anything.

I might be here with you enjoying the fireworks

OK, so then the answer to the OP is no for you. No big deal...

Why is it "not for me"?

Because I disagree with you and compeltely dismantled your source?

I have certainly made up my mind about that death cult end-of-the-world nonsence, and went on to prove and substantiate my opinion.

Camping owns a radio station.

The more people that listen to his garbage, the more he can charge for advertising.

And it is certainly death squad/cult to be so fixated on the simutanious death of each and every human being on the planet as to make such predictions.

No you did no such thing. You got a date wrong about the flood, and you have evidence and theories about the age of the earth.

For all I know God started something over the year 11023 bc and started a new judgment process and all we know today.

If you want to discuss something in detail just let me know. Cool?

I quoted the exact dates YOUR man Campings claims.

The earth is indeed 4 billions years old, and the universe is indeed over ten billion. These are scientific facts, scientific facts YOUR man Campings ignores.

He has exactly Zero credibility.
