What if I am right? In a non-threatening manner, why hold such absolute positions?
So what if you are right?
What can we do about it and why worry about something I don't have control over?

Ouch153 days on earth without Christians?
Sounds...liberating!
The influence comes from the logic within how the teaching unfolds. It is something I can't shake, which is what brought me here, to challenge it, and talk about it etc...itwillend, how much of your 'belief' in this doomsday scenario is influenced by fear?
And what will you be doing on that day?
Well if it is true, the bible gives plenty of scenarios and warnings telling us what we should be doing. So what if you are right?
What can we do about it and why worry about something I don't have control over?
Oh, and one more question.
What if that date comes about and it's all us non-Christian that are taking up and you and your kin are left here?
I said to the wife, on that day, we'll just make our bed in the lounge, hug each other and say, I love you to each other, say our goodbyes together, and wait for the count down...
No I don't...it's how I would answer such a question though, given the situation, in preparation for death..You believe in it? I didn't realise you were a Christian.
It also confirms your other OP, of not afraid of death..me too. What if tomorrow I turn completely purple and explode like a blueberry?
What then?
Well?
*Violet thinks she saw that prediction somewhere*
What if I am right? In a non-threatening manner, why hold such absolute positions?
You get a song!

If you REALLY believed this was going to happen,
You would have quit your job already,
just stopped going to work...
probably at least last month....
and stopped paying bills and doing all kinds of mundane things...
and gone somewhere wonderful with your wife and son,
to be raptured in the most beautiful and spiritual and meaningful way possible.
Who knows, perhaps you're posting from the beach via satelite. :beach:
Ouch
Well if it is true, the bible gives plenty of scenarios and warnings telling us what we should be doing.
Nope, I'm still pretty sure nothing at all is going to happen. I'm pretty sure you are not convinced yet either, since I offered to let you transfer all your money to me on May 20th so you could show your faith and you declined.Just let me know...
I am sure I will be a bit anxious, at least that what I say today anyway... Mostly just the same as usual, because whatever happens is completely out of my control. I just hope Iam found on the good side of events, as well as everyone else.Yes, so what will you be doing on that day?
Careful study... For me that is what it boils down to I suppose...Okay IWE, lets say for a second that it is the end of the world. You and all that believe this can still be way wrong with what Doomsday it is.
Whether or not something divine is give you or who ever else these thought are you sure they are form your god, and not from something else?
This date could bring about Ragnarok, the Mayan Dday, Kemetic ending, or any of the other there are.
There is some truth it appears to what you suggest. It appears the majority of those that belong to churches or run churches will be left behind. That is something that is quite interesting to me, as they think they are in fact "secure" in Christ...Oh, and one more question.
What if that date comes about and it's all us non-Christian that are taking up and you and your kin are left here?
I am actually playing in my pool today, doing a little work for some clients and chilling out. Life is pretty good, and even better since we decided to pay the stupid mortgage company all they ask of us to stay in our house. So we are here to stay unless something else happens. If you REALLY believed this was going to happen,
You would have quit your job already,

probably at least last month....

Well, as I mentioned above we are going to stay in our house, legally, just have to kiss 10,000 dollars goodbyeOh uuppp... 2011
It may be a bit early then.
The bank will probably take your house before then.
(but BOY would they PAY for it later! )
Violet thinks.... how long can you live in your house without paying mortgage
before they kick you out on the street?.....
The prophecy believing raptured could also have a nice vacation before their eternal glory.....
while all of us doubting schmucks continue to labor for our beloved banking elite.
They sure showed us.
No it gives lessons about when God destroys some place what happens before hand, and what people should be doing.Does it give instructions like, bend over, put your head between your legs and kiss your ***** goodbye?
If it does I already know that one so I don't need to read the instructions.
No interest in games, as sincere as your offer is. :sarcasticNope, I'm still pretty sure nothing at all is going to happen. I'm pretty sure you are not convinced yet either, since I offered to let you transfer all your money to me on May 20th so you could show your faith and you declined.
This scenario seems just as absurd.
