I've seen the way protests have been carried out across the country. A member here actually posted a scientific study showing that most of the protests are peaceful.

If your business has to literally go under because someone broke one of your windows, your business isn't doing too well to begin with. Truth is, the vast majority of such businesses have insurance against that kind of damage.

Those are some easy answers. If your patrons are avoiding your store because your neighborhood is the nightly prowl for hooligans, yeah, you are going to lose business Also, graffiti and chipboard are not a huge draw for a business. As for insurance, not many business owners were anticipating riots and didn't review their policies prior to the fires, vandalism and looting. I will say the riots probably did a lot for Trump's campaign. I mean, defunding the police is such a wonderful concept, more so when you punctuate it with rioting, smashing windows and looting.
