Are Bears Mammals?

Songbird

Having once watched a Russian compete in Olympic Sumo Wrestling, I can concur. I still haven't gotten that image steam cleaned out of my poor brain cells.

Olympic Sumo Wrestling? I've been meaning to pick up a new hobby.

Well, that's fascinating. But I still feel that bears are not mammals.

Which leads me to ask: Have you ever been attacked by one?
I have been attacked by mammals several times. I've never been attacked by a bear.

Therefore, bears are not mammals. QED.

Flawless.

Also: I've reverted to my original claim based on your new evidence. Once again, bears are not mammals.

Are near-penguins mammals?

Hang on... let me consult the list:

- hair? Check.
- three middle ear bones? Dunno. Never seen 'em.
- neocortex? Presumably.
- functional mammary glands in mothers with young? Not applicable.
- sweat glands? Check.
- specialized teeth? Check.
- endothermic? Check.
- not a bear? Check.

Yes, I believe I'm a mammal.

Orrrrrrr, is it? Male lactation

Do it for the children, Penguin. THE CHILDREN.
Since I have no children of my own, me breastfeeding would mean I'd have to find someone else's child to suckle. I can only see this as making me lose friends or get arrested.

However, I've found my word for the day: galactogogue. Sounds like it should be the the name of the big boss Decepticon in the next Transformers movie.

Bwahaha! The evil Galactogogue glared at his enemy with hate in his eye and....milk in his breast?

You should write comics. Wait. Damn.

Know it all.

Shaman.
I changed my mind. Bears are now mammals. For today, for today.
It is nearly impossible to take a person seriously when the person does not take them self seriously.

Like it is super hard to give respect to any person that shows no respect for them self.

I fail to see what this has to do with Songbird's reclassification of bears.

Aw, shucks, my dad used to say that! I can't remember if it was after he knocked the wind out of me by punching me in the chest or when he shoved my brother down the stairs. That man was all business.

A man to take seriously - an admirable fellow by any measure.

So odd that none of us six kids followed in our parents' serious, fundamentalist, dominionist, abusive, homeschooling ways. We all became flippant atheists or agnostics. Nothing against folks with those qualities...it was more the combination of all those qualities.

My dad was the same kind of abusive douche, but without the religion. Certainly, didn't stop me from becoming an atheist, but I'd let a horse rape me before hitting a woman or child. Funnily enough, now as he's getting older he's getting religious.

We've gotten along brilliantly since this time when I was sixteen and I pushed him against the wall when he raised his voice at me. Apart from his general emotional weakness and instability, we're very similar and have great conversations. Once I established the new boundaries, everything was peachy.

Impressive! Now I have all sorts of questions, but I won't bore you. I have serious things to do, anyway, so I'll see ya later.

About this much...

it's important for you to know that i decided to kill myself after seeing this picture.
the only thing that made me change my mind was this:

What was the bear doing whilst this mammal was trashing her tent?
