Everyone isn't equally an expert in all things, that's just ridiculous. An expert is someone who's worked hard a good part of their lifetimes researching a specific field. Intelligence is specific not general.

You don't know as much about biology or mechanics than a biologist or engineer because you've used your brain to study an old religious text.

Next time someone in your family or you get sick don't go to a doctor, go instead to a theologian - heck he'd be just as much an expert in medicine, right?

Okay, I had a lot of answers floating around, and I went with goofy. Of course I knew a pound is a pound regardless of material, so I figured there must be more to your question. I didn't know metals are weighed on a different scale, though.

Also looked up British billion before posting, saw that it used to be different, but didn't know if that was a factor...then I was going to joke about the weight of one billion pounds of sterling silver weighing more than....yeah, right about then I lost motivation. :cool:

Sorry but no. Strictly speaking a British Billion is £1,000,000,000,000 (this is no longer the common usage, most commonly now a billion uses the US defintion).

Just precious metals. Any 1018 steel bar stock lying around your kitchen is no different from you bacon.
What I like about the questions is how people answer based upon personality. Some suspect a trick, &
won't venture any answer for fear of being wrong. Some will get it wrong, & be adamant that they're right.
The most hateful posters are the ones who already know it all...& are right - no fun.

Oh, man....

I think I may have fallen into the "suspect a trick" category.

Wait a friggin second, I beg to differ about my 1018 steel bar stock (I don't even know what that is, but you bet yer arse I'm gonna google it now) lying around my kitchen being no different from my bacon.

The real question is why I have steel bars just hanging around my kitchen like they're cooler than me. :cool:
