It's the old saying, "Keep an open mind, just not so open your brains fall out." When you go out on a limb to make a claim that has absolutely no rational basis ... well ... you're in danger of having your brains fall out.How do you determine that one is 'credulous' as opposed to 'an opened-minded skeptic that considers all views'? I suspect it is just your 'unbiased' opinion.

I believe that demons are real and base that both on the Bible and my personal experience.

That was what I said....and I think we need to add to that statement with 'and not so closed that nothing of value can ever get in'!
If you can describe a rational basis, please do, if not ... please lower your voice. No, numbers do not count. It is hard to show you where rational thinking is being abandoned since there is no evidence of it having been adopted. So anything that does not accord with 'materialism' has 'no rational basis'? It is not even rational to consider evidence from millions of human experiences or any wisdom tradition in conflict with 'materialism'. Show us where 'rational thinking' is being abandoned.
See that is incorrect... there are only open minds....and I think we need to add to that statement with 'and not so closed that nothing of value can ever get in'!
It is based on a system describing the nature of reality formulated by sages and masters of one of mankind's great wisdom traditions. Plus it is reinforced by evidence from the human experience. Sounds like it is rational to give the teachings fair consideration. It seems irrational to me to not give these teachings fair consideration. If you can describe a rational basis, please do, if not ... please lower your voice. No, numbers do not count. I don't consider it closed minded to consider the quality of evidence presented for any claim. And without giving any opinion as to whether or not demons exist, I will say that the mere fact that someone had trouble sleeping after watching "The Exorcist" does not qualify as good evidence for the existence of demons. How do you determine that one is 'credulous' as opposed to 'an opened-minded skeptic that considers all views'? re-check your facts. Fantome, that post was to Sapiens it had nothing to do with you or that guy who watched the movie.I don't consider it closed minded to consider the quality of evidence presented for any claim. Call me close minded and biased for that if you wish, but that is how I see it.
I just re-checked the facts, and it seems that I replied to one of your posts, in which you were replying to one of Sapiens posts, in which he was replying to "that guy who watched the movie".re-check your facts. And Leprechauns?Yes demons are real.
Apples and oranges, again. You keep doing this. If I say that I like apple pie, are you going to argue with me if I say that I don't like apple sours? Why does everything equate to some 'broader' category? And Leprechauns?
