Are There Any Differences Between Men and Women that Justify Inequality?

A person's "Dependability & trustworthiness" are not tied to how wealthy a person is.
Who would claim such a thing?
Ah, I found the link. The survey had 15000 respondents, that's pretty big.
Millionaire Men Prefer To Date Women With Less Money
The male millionaires seem to want to take care of their spouses. The female millionaires don't want to take care of anybody and would prefer a financially stable partner.
Another result from this same survey is that over 80% of the female respondents would insist on a prenuptial agreement, while only 17% of the male respondents would do the same.
It seems that rich woman don't want to share their wealth with their spouses. Wouldn't equality specify that females that are the bread winners adhere to the same rules that male breadwinners follow?
It would depend upon what is meant by "equality". To me, it's equal footing to bargain the terms of the marriage, which will give unequal appearing results.

Yes, because of the special time of the month, pregnancy, delivery and its effects, and the healthy breast feeding for the baby and taking care of it. Those must be respected and considered in a women. I think a job should not stand on the way of those and a man cannot do those.

Um, am I being offensive? I'm really sorry, I don't mean it!

LOL! Very few women need a vacation because of normal monthly menstruation. :)

Most women that I know work right up into their ninth month of pregnancy. Of course that depends on their type of work. Most modern Nordic countries allow both the mother and father to take maternity leave. They recognize this bonding as best for the society long term. And indeed it is best.

Wars should only be declared by old men or women. The former can't even remember what testosterone fueled aggression felt like, & the latter won't be on their schtinkies ready to kill everything in sight once a month. You can't trust anyone under 60.

And fought by them, too, making war even less likely. :D

Or perhaps rich women are being led by their brains, and realize handsome young men are likely out for their money,

while rich men are being led by a different head, and thus choose the hot babe, over a prudent prenup. :p

just my observation, & I don't think I'm too unusual. Like a lot of guys- I don't even like to see a photo of a baby before I've had my breakfast

I think after a certain age though, certainly fathers are better equipped to raise sons.

But wouldn't you think this was all 'naturally evolved' from your perspective?

Absolutely not.

Where I am it sure is. I mean, the husband has to pay a dowry, give an expensive gold set to the wife, prepare the place to live from A to Z, typically have a job for the obligatory living making for both the wife and the children, practically work as a chauffeur with no option to say no... not to mention the costs of some events before the wedding... GAAAAH! No wonder I'm still single!

We have no choice but to get it right the first time. But yeah, victims still show up from time to time. Life is not perfect.

But do the women actually want this? Or are they forced into it by a patriarchal society, and tradition?

Depends who you ask, my wife's therapist - remotely diagnosed me as being the instigator of every argument... every month, for 20 years... apparently her 'schtinkies' had nothing to do with it!

I think you are exaggerating, - and judging by your posts here, perhaps her therapist was right.

Also, we live in a society that still holds the myth, and expects, women to be sweet little things - bowing to what the male says. - So, when women get their periods, - and become MORE LIKE MEN, - MORE AGGRESIVE, Saying BS, - NO! - and telling it like it is, - they are called nuts, and Bi****s, and the like, by men.

What does that say about men?

Why do we always get the firemen type baloney in this conversation?
Your comment is dismissive and rude. It will turn a discussion into an argument into a flame war. I'd suggest checking the attitude.

The fire department here is half women, and the Chief is a woman. We haven't lost any people because of this. We also have female police, Forestry Officers, lumberjacks. My sister was a millwright. Every time this debate comes up - strength - is always put forward as making men superior, while things women are stronger in are just ignored.
You are hacking a straw man. No one has said men are superior. You are merely flame-baiting.

As has already been explained above, - men and women have differences. Those differences don't make them superior, or inferior.
I see you agree with me. So what's this baloney about baloney.

Up to the 80's more men went to, and graduated, from college. So what is your beef
The same beef women had before the 80s about less of them graduating from college. The same beef women have today about less of them in STEM jobs.

My beef is that we are failing our boys and their college graduation rates are dropping.

I think it's cute that the fireman/combat position is brought up every time, too, regarding biological differences between genders to explain why men can and women can't.
NO ONE HAS CLAIMED MEN CAN AND WOMEN CANNOT. STOP HACKING AT THE STRAW-MAN PLEASE.

Watch who brings up the positions where men are expected to be better suited for jobs. Naturally. Because muscle mass.
That's a better description. "more likely".

That's why I brought up the testosterone argument as a limitation possibility for men. Hey, think about how lower testosterone places women in a favorable position for being in the war room, who can think more clearly and plan more accordingly with greater restraint of available resources with our testosterone-fueled navy seals and firefighters. Really, women are better suited to be in charge, naturally, because of more estrogen, less testosterone, and the ability to think more rationally through these situations.
And you may recall that I agreed with you.

Statistics? Or are you just inventing facts?

I'm quite certain that's a word used by women. In fact, personally, I've heard it used more by women than by men (rap songs notwithstanding).

And no. Being tired and in pain, and acting out of those feelings, is not "more like men"... unless it's "more like men who are tired and in pain".

We men have been getting along with each other (when we aren't killing each other) for millennia. We have no trouble interacting with someone who acts like a man.

Heck: have the men I know have a strong preference for strong women who boss them around. Many are actual BDSM subs. My favorite play partners (though I'm dom) have oft been dommes. Though they commonly refer to themselves that way (usually with "cruel" or "queen" or such in front of it); I've not heard others do it.

No. You are casting stones at the entire male gender for personal reasons; not out of real data.

What does that say about men?
We don't lie as often in our posts to bash an entire gender... unlike you personally do.

And male college rates dropping can't be blamed on women.

You're funny. Why would I need stats for what happens pretty much on a daily bases to a lot of women. How many times have we heard men, or men in popular moves, say something like, - she's on the rag, and being a real Bi**h? This has actually led to the misinformation that all menstruating women are like this.

Also why would you equate aggression, with being tired and in pain?

I made it very plain that I was talking about normally accepted societal male aggression, as in telling people NO, aggressively pushing your ideas or agendas, and telling people what you really think, etc.

When women do the same things they get labeled.

And by the way - I didn't cast any stones at men.
