Are you afraid of death??

Alsalam aleikum and hello everyone
there are 3 kinds of people reactions towards death:
1-people that are afraid even to think about death
2-people that are afraid of death because they had done bad things and want to do good deeds
3-finally the finest people who they know they did everything they can to satisfy God..
so..which kind are you?

none of the above. I don't fear death because it's inevitable, so why worry about it?

Then again, there are people like me. I can hardly be described as a person who fears death and enjoy talking about the physical termination point. I do not suffer from a guilty conscience and the vast majority of my actions are quite deliberate - you see, I actually think things through before I do them. Go figure. Lastly, I have no illusions about God, my own delusions are far more amusing, to me, at least. Personally, I could care less what any supposed "god" thinks about anything I have done. In theory, "he" made me... so "he" should have known what "he" was getting "himself" into.

Same. The most I fear is the pain that comes with death, but I will most likely die of a stroke or in my sleep so no biggie.
do you mean that after we die..nothing happens...i mean there are people did the worst things you could ever imagine and others who had good deeds and served humanity and when both dies...nothing??? no punishments?no rewards?

You make it sound like a cosmic Gong Show. How silly.

I fear death for two main reasons:

1) Because i'm not yet 'on the road' to doing the things i want to do. I fear dying before being able to do those things.

2) Because i extremely dislike the idea of not being aware. I've always disliked sleeping even, ever since i was a kid. Assuming that nothing happens after death, which where i stand for lack of any other basis to stand upon personally, this is something that i extremely dislike.

Though a considerable factor in this is some health concerns that i have. If i didn't have those, i wouldn't worry about it from now, at least as much. I have a tendency to brush off concerns in the first place.

Sure, unless you can show otherwise.

I have done everything I wanted to do.
The only thing I dont like about the thought of dying is the end of what I can only describe as the time I am spending with my life partner.
To be apart is what I can only describe as painful

Twilight Hue

Twilight, not bright nor dark, good nor bad.
All of us were dead before, so the experience is nothing new.

That said, i share the same feelings as anyone else who expresses concern over pain and suffering that may or may not occur, the unknown, and the fact that you cannot see loved ones or continue to enjoy your lifestyle if it happens to be a good one.

There are concerns, but im not afraid of death.

Why are the type 3 the finest?

The ones that brought down the towers thought they did everything to satisfy God. I wouldn´t call them "the finest people"
I agree and the ones that destroyed a country based on lies after that are less than fine and ready it seems to destroy another based on rumour while actively in the middle of destroying one and trying to 'intervene' in another.

very busy those un fine people and I guess it's not going to get any better after this week ends

bizarre that you think these categories cover everyone... Some impressive religious bias here.

I dont fear 'death' itself as a concept, a thing that happens and exists in our world. I fear my own death, and i think everyone else of sound mind is the same, or else i would have long ago perished from not looking both ways as i cross the street. A base fear that creates the motivation of preservation.

The question of why i fear my own death, well its pretty much rooted in the unknown, and utterly terminal nature of it. To ponder not existing anymore is undoubtedly unsettling. In truth, fear is not the best word here, as there’s one form of fear, that instinctual reactionary fear thats not there for any rational reason, simply a result of evolution, and no more alienable than sweating or dilating pupils.
Then theres the unsettling feeling that you can get from pondering things from the armchair. Both apply in their own way, just enough so that life is focused and sharpened, and not too much that one lives in constant despair, although thats not the case for everyone.

I don't fear death. I see no reason to.

And it certainly doesn't have anything to do with gods and things like that.

This post appears to have a very ethnocentric basis.

4 - people that are not afraid to think about death
5- people that are not afraid of death
6- people who think they satisfied god
That makes another three so that makes your OP just so much pish.
