Are you sinless?

Even for Catholicism it seems a bit much to say every person on earth sins every single day. :areyoucra

Not really. Have you seen the list of things Catholics think are sins? There are literally parts of your own darn body that you're not allowed to touch.

It is not universal, and rarely voiced, but some Christians have more than a touch of "What is not required is forbidden".

So sad, excessive pessimism and negativity kinda put a damper on enhancing and enriching life. To think we all helplessly sin daily is quite excessive. The best way to reinforce poor human behavior, self-esteem, etc. is to repeatedly pound in that a person is a crap human being and will never be better.

In kind terms...it's a pathetic outlook

I had to read this a couple times because I didn't get it exactly. If I am understanding the question, I think it is asking if I was born carrying some sin or did bad sinful things in my current life.

Well, it could be in a past life I did something bad enough to be called sin. In the current life I have a reputation for being a "spiritual rascal" because I just go around having spiritual fun times. Once I hurt the feelings uf a Guru, but then pretty much it was no biggie since it is obvious that it just being a rascal but a nice rascal. It wasn't really counted as a "sin" (bad, bad, bad, no). Now I did get angry sometimes, but probably not a "sin" if you know what I mean.

Naturally, I might do little things like yanking someone's chain, or eating salted snacks that the doctor said not to. Or not brush my teeth. Or buy myself something that I really don't need but just "because", like another watch.

Hmmm... I *think* the answer is, yes, I am pretty much without "sin". ok ok ok, sometimes I throw a firecracker in the room of ideas just to, well, watch the pop go off. Every kid likes to throw a firecracker once in a while, what can I say?

Over all ... I am pretty much a rascal angel. Not sin.

Any sinless people here? And not in the 'it isn't my fault because I don't have freewill etc. type answer, but actual, sinless people.

An idea from some other threads discussing original sin, sinful nature.
The whole world which we see all around us is a bunch of sins.
The whole world which we see all around us couldn't be possible to exist without sins.

No. Sin is generally a concept foreign to Deism. There are no divinely ordained set of rules to follow. Only our own conciences and the laws of our land. So yes, in that sense I am sinless, because sin doesn't exist. But if we are talking about me always following my conscience perfectly, then no.

No prob, actually I have no idea what people are talking about, really. I thought sin meant something else.

A lot of religious words and concepts need specific definitions for the discussion...I think sin is pretty high up there on the list.

Yep doesn't work. If I put up a list of sins according to such & such religion etc. it just excludes those who don't follow that doctrine.

Basically the question should be, if you believe in sin, yet are sinless. That way the argument is in religious parameters.
