That's cuz you get the arctic blasts from central Canada, we don't get those here. We get weather off of the Pacific Ocean.WTF!? It's actually colder here than it is all the way up there! The world is broken.
Braggart.
You are on the border of the Midwest and the Southeast.Dam. Almost everyone around me is in a heat wave. I'm supposed to be in the South. The truth is that where I live is still basically the Midwest.
Yup. I'm actually enjoying hanging out by a fireplace with my critters. But as I recall, you were all prepared for this with supplies.
My bff, @Truthseeker, who lives in Ohio, told me about the cold weather he is having...
Then I told him that the Arctic Blast in the state of Washington, which consisted of a low of 20 at night, but now it is back to 33 and mostly cloudy, still cold for here, but it is supposed to get to 45-55 starting tomorrow..
35 here, and climbing, thank God, because I don't want any more frozen doors.
- It was about thirty degrees cooler here than normal. It felt like winter outside for once. It got down to 17. About as cold as I remember here. And about twenty five to thirty degrees colder than normal. Right now it is freezing outside, and that is a good thing. It has warmed up to 32.
It can act like either at any moment on any given day. We've had spring/summer conditions during December and January. You are on the border of the Midwest and the Southeast.
That sounds great. I have critters but no fireplace. I have a gas fireplace but it is no longer operational and a wood stove downstairs that I have never used.Yup. I'm actually enjoying hanging out by a fireplace with my critters.
It was like that where I used to live in Redding, CA. It was usually cold in winter but it could get up to 70 some years. We've had spring/summer conditions during December and January.

It is supposed to get up to 55 here the next few days.

As you can see, they're predicting rain for next week, with highs only in the 50s. Brrr...cold! So, we'll be suffering down here with all the rest of you. This weather's totally brutal.
Seriously, though, I hope everyone stays safe and warm if you're in snow country. Don't eat any yellow snow.
I know all about that weather because I was raised in northern Indiana. It just climbed from 1 to 2 degrees in Chicagoland.
Louisvilleland is right there with you.It just climbed from 1 to 2 degrees in Chicagoland.
I keep checking on my niece's arrival in NY from VA. Delayed. I sure would not want to fly in this wind. Looks like some of the Midwest is calming down as flights from there are still in air or delayed. IL MI and Canada are canceled. What a crazy storm.35°F with wind-chill advisory here on VA coast.
