One thing I'm glad about is that I don't have to travel anywhere.
I'll second that! I never travel anywhere for the holidays or any other time for that matter.
Traveling is more trouble than it's worth. I can watch Aerial America on TV and see every state in the union, and never leave my couch. :)

But as I recall, you were all prepared for this with supplies.

My bff, @Truthseeker, who lives in Ohio, told me about the cold weather he is having...
Then I told him that the Arctic Blast in the state of Washington, which consisted of a low of 20 at night, but now it is back to 33 and mostly cloudy, still cold for here, but it is supposed to get to 45-55 starting tomorrow..
I understand the cold air moved from West to East. You had relative cold before we did here.

One thing I'm glad about is that I don't have to travel anywhere. There have been thousands of flights cancelled due to bad weather. The highways aren't any better, as there was an a 40+ car pile up in Ohio. Travel nightmare: Thousands of flights canceled amid dangerous storm (msn.com)

Nine semis crashed in Michigan, and a 7-car pile up was also reported in that state.
Ya, the roads in the western part of the state [Mich] are nasty, and here near Detroit we're not too bad now as most people have heeded the warnings. Right now, it's 4 F here and still windy, but I still gotta go out and deal with the snow drifts in a few minutes.

May each of you have a Happy Holiday!

In Massachusetts we are now at 7 degrees, yesterday it was 50. But we were lucky in avoiding the snow, got torrential rain and wind instead.

The good news is that we are over with it on the west coast and since weather tends to move west to east your relief is on the way. Two days ago it was 17 here. Now it is 42 and warming:

See, it is all the way to the Dakotas. You may be in for a rough three days.
