The hardest part of that is defining what it means to love yourself.Love the Lord my God with all my heart, soul, and strenth by loving my neighbor as myself.
A lofty ideal to be sure.

Love.... Provide.... Charity.... God.... Love.... Provide.... Charity.... InfinityI believe that to love is to provide. Meditate on that.
Are iron based life forms possible?
"Every man takes the limits of his own field of vision for the limits of the world."
Consider the fact that we are composed of 61.4% Oxygen (43 Kg out of a 70 Kg body), and it won't seem so strange. If we are mainly composed of an element that we associate a gaseous form, it really doesn't seem so far fetched to have life forms based on other elements.
EDIT: Or something else entirely.
What do you think after that tiny tidbit? Same Answer?
hi angellous.
just a quick question or two.
does god have a wife? like YHWH and Asherah.
was Jesus married?
i ask as ive never got a straight answer.
Dear angellous,
Why do you think god allows some men to sin and not suffer the punishment decreed by God (Solomon, David) and yet some men get immediately killed by God for a particular sin (Onan)?
The odd thing is that we could argue that the sins of Solomon and David far exceeded the sin of Onan. SO it is unclear why GOd would cut some lives short and allow others to continue to live in sin and even hold them in high esteem.I don't know... but I will say that God allows more than just favorites like Solomon and David to sin and not die immediately -- and sometimes sin greatly.
I think that theology should start with this question, that is, the question of human suffering. My thoughts on this topic are expressed in my thread:

Hi Angellous!
One thing I've always wondered (and heard different views about it) is, from a Christian point of view, do animals have souls? If they do, what happens to them after death? Are they judged like humans are? Do all animals have souls (including ants, plankton etc). If they don't have souls, do they face oblivion after death or does something else happen?
I don't know.
Christianity is a human centered religion. We do retain a reverence for animals in the tradition of St. Francis, and I think that God loves animals and they will be in God's new creation. Cosmologically, it is human sin that messed everything up, and that includes the animal world, and God will renew all these things through Christ in the last day.
