Thank you...I think. Hmm, that is pretty vague. I am curious, love learning and I believe that understanding others is valuable. Is that what you had in mind?
Why are you on rf? is it because you believe that?

So.....let's say you really are a southern belle.
What are the local best foods down your way?
I'd say they do a pretty good job with seafood -- mainly fish and shrimp.

I am a seafood snob, and I compare everything to New Orleans' food.

I'm heading back to the Big Easy very soon, just to make sure they're still doing it right and to make sure they haven't been slackin' while I've been away. :)

@Aupmanyav , @Sunstone, and @paarsurrey...

I can't say I've ever seen any of you get ticked, or even irritated with anyone on the forums (at least, in a visible way). So I'm curious... What behavior do you have absolutely no patience for whatsoever?

Over the years, I have often enough been accused of getting ticked off, but those accusations have usually been made by people who routinely accuse others of getting ticked off, so it's hard to take them seriously.

I don't know of an internet behavior that I'm always impatient with. But I know there are people in this world who take a nearly sadistic pleasure in making fools of other people and who tell lies about such things as the moon landings, climate change, 911, evolution, vaccines, the causes of the Great Recession, and so forth, in order to laugh at those people who believe their lies. When I see someone who impresses me as intelligent and reasonably well informed spouting lies, I wonder if that isn't a case of someone lying to take advantage of others. If someone does it many times on many subjects, I tend to get annoyed with them.

@Buttercup What one bit of advice would you be most likely to tell a young woman who was just starting out in business that you might not tell a young man?

@Quetzal You seem able to get along with most people, but is there a type of person that you really don't like? Not an individual, but a type, such as pesky old fools who ask people a lot of questions?

@Brickjectivity If you had to sum up your religion in a just a few words, how would you sum it up (but without resorting to merely naming it -- an actual summary, in other words).

@Sunstone , why do you ask so many questions????:p

Often enough, the astonishing answer is that I'm interested in how people will respond to the questions. I know how simple that must sound, but that's my most frequent motive. It especially interests me when people answer in ways I didn't expect. I like diversity for its own sake.

My second most frequent motive is to alleviate my own boredom.

I'm honestly surprised that, in a brilliant thread such as this one that provides everyone with an opportunity to ask questions of each other, more people are not taking advantage of that opportunity.
