. If they are truly "spiritual"... The only place and meaning they can be would be internal and metaphorical for something every single human has in common... Everything on the inside. A brain and a mind.

Well, common to almost all human religious or spiritual tradition is a very real suspicion that there is a lasting residue of some kind that survives the brain/body/mind interaction commonly called the soul. And with that, we see the other side, there beside us all in this strange existence of doors and dimensions that we lead. How did I get here? Why all the lingering doubt that my personal human saga cannot be ended by death, that since I came here into existence as an involuntary passenger, I will not discontinue to be such a passenger upon leaving the body? Oftentimes religion posits our relation to these supposed outside metaphysical things such as this.
