There's your singularity. If you plot that function, you end up with a funnel shape. I could tell you the slope of the funnel at any point you wanted, except if you asked me about the center of the funnel, where there is no slope. Just because there isn't a slope there doesn't mean that the whole thing can't exist.

You can do geometry on the empty set, it just doesn't get you anywhere. However, I think the singularity you are thinking of isn't in the empty set. It's the point of a 4D cone, and so it makes absolutely no sense to say that there are no points.

More than one point can determine a line.
An infinite number of points between them.

Infinity exists...the 'moment' a secondary point is made.

For the singularity to be singular....no secondaries allowed.
