I try and keep it brief when I respond to people I'm ignoring so they won't work out I'm telling porkies when I say I'm ignoring them shhhhhh
I ignore them the old fashioned way. If it doesn't make any sense, like the Earth being a closed system and the Bible describing it as such, no point in responding.

The Bible is not a science book, but it expresses higher knowledge that was commonly unknown in ancient times, such as the water cycle and the fact that the planet is suspended in the cosmos without physical support.

Furthermore, the laws on quarantine, how to dispose of feces, and other laws given to the Israelites show that the knowledge of the One who inspired the human writers is superior to that of humans. For example, while the Egyptians at that time used human feces for cosmetics and other uses, the Israelites were required by law to bury them outside the camp ... and only today we know the reasons why.
Citation needed. By the way, using cow poop is nowhere near the same thing as using human poop.

I think I read before that the earth is considered both an open and closed system. Open system for energy and a closed system for matter?
What happened was that the classification was improved over since we were young. There used to be either open systems and closed systems. That really was not good enough.

Now we have open systems, a car engine is a perfect example both matter and energy can enter and leave the system.

And we have closed systems. Energy can enter and leave but not matter. For all practical purposes, sorry @Revoltingest , the Earth is a closed system. Very very small amounts of matter can enter and leave, but they do not really affect the entropy of the Earth very much. But energy enters and leaves regularly. So, energy in and out, but not matter is "closed".

Last there are isolated systems. Neither energy nor matter can enter or leave.

Ignorance is best served with a side dish of GERD
Indeed.

I've seen a lot of GERD dished out here too.

I've been reading through the thread and all of the questions and claims from the science-denying basis don't make any sense and are baseless, strawman claims.

I couldn't get so many things wrong if I set out to do it on purpose.

I guess it's coming time to ban this forum for another month. When stupidity begins to fill so much space, it is time to discipline some so that they learn how to behave.

Somehow this bunch of clones think it's funny to disrespect forum members who don't agree with them on their ideas.

Someone has to teach some of them that they shouldn't bite the hand that feeds them.

Earth is open.
Consider sunlight on exposed surface.
And nightly, energy is radiated into space.
Without this energy transfer, life would
be very different...if it existed at all.
Also, tons of atmosphere are lost daily,
but tons of space debris fall daily.

Approximately, when did they come up with this new math?

Where's that irony meter?

We do try to educate those who
lack a good science & language
foundation.
But if someone doesn't learn, &
digs their hole deeper, mockery
is inevitable. We're all jerks.
And I am their leader.

I had to look it up, but one estimate of the net loss is 5.5×10^7 kg annually.
