Ban Fireworks

Subduction Zone

Fireworks cause distress, injury and deaths. Pets, wildlife and people (eg those with PTSD, anxiety or autism) are affected. Selling explosives? What are we thinking?
Increasing numbers of people (including senior representatives of the emergency services) are calling for at least the restriction on their sale to the general public. Personally I want a total ban.

The UK campaign:

(PS So-called silent fireworks are NOT silent).
Problem solved:

Spoke to a cleaner in the staff room. Her daughter had a puppy earlier this year. Cue loud bangs.
Cue puppy having a heart attack and dying.

Very sad if related. I should add that smoke alarms going off at 1.0am is annoying too - due to the smoke around eventually finding its way into houses - given that this happened to me last night, and has happened before.

Boo hoo cruel racism

Complete BS.

China "is the largest consumer of dog meat in the entire world, with 10 to 20 million dogs being killed and eaten every year. Consuming dog meat in China is legal, and there are no guidelines nor regulations in place for the slaughtering, manufacturing, and eating of dogs."

I won't attempt light humor with you again,
and will refrain from educating you on
western industrial pork production, or in depth
comments on the cruelty inflicted on those
intelligent creatures.

As for me, I believe in being kind to
animals by not eating them, or if they are
human, by not referring to their words
as excrement.
