Yep, when it comes to people that break the law will a certain percentage will try to break it again. But if one applies for refugee status it is very easy to catch them if they are refused and apply again. If they are just put on a 24 hour hold that is more than enough time to identify them by fingerprints in this day and age.According to a recent report by Courthouse News Service, the backlog of cases in US immigration courts has been increasing at an alarming rate. As of the first quarter of 2024, immigration judges have issued around 64,000 deportation orders 1. However, the backlog is so severe that it is taking years to resolve cases, with some people waiting for up to 58 months for a decision on their legal status 2.
Florida and Texas have the largest immigration case backlogs, with Florida having 454,434 pending cases and Texas having 426,901 pending cases as of November 2023 3. According to Syracuse University research institute, there are more than 3 million pending cases across the country, and nearly a third are in Florida and Texas 3.
BTW, deported immigrants come back!
Judicial watch.
In fiscal year 2023, which ended in September, Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) arrested 170,590 illegal immigrants inside the country, almost half of them with criminal records. The criminal aliens had an average of four charges and convictions each, including more than 33,209 charges or convictions for assault, 7,520 for weapons offenses, 1,713 for homicide-related crimes and 1,615 for kidnapping. Removals also included 3,406 known or suspected gang members, 139 known or suspected terrorists, seven human rights violators, and 108 foreign fugitives wanted by their government for crimes including homicide, rape, terrorism, and kidnapping.
Oh well if an illegal alien totals your car and isn't even arrested then I will remind you to just brush it off!
That means nothing coming from the side that supports migrants illegally entering this country and causing this problem in the first place. The fact remains thst what Texas is doing is illegal.

There are tons of individual cases, all of which combine to form the overall illegal immigrant problem. As i said, irrelevant to the thread but hey, if it makes you feel good to bring up individual cases then go for it
Which is usually not less than 7 years from the date they entered. We know from past experience that the longer an illegal remains here, the more likely it is that the Democrat government will find a way to keep them here since they've been here this long. What happens if one crosses the border illegally, but then immediately applies for refugee status? In the US they would be here legally at that point. They could not be kicked out until after their hearing.

Just ask the democrat mayors of "sanctuary cities" that discovered they bit off more than they can chew.
I know what you meant. What I am saying is that it's rather ironic that you're talking about how something illegal is wrong, and yet excuse the fact that these migrants are illegally entering the country in the 1st place, and our federal government is facilitating it at our expense.Actually what it means is texas is acting illegally, so you thing illegal is nothing?
10 million individual migrants illegally entering the country individually (or in caravans of 6,000) are still a combined 10 million. Focusing on individuals is like focusing on a tree and missing the forest. But they are not combined, they are individual.
And there are even more tons of
of individual cases, all of which combine to form real life humanity. But again irrelevant to the thread

Do you have evidence for this claim? No? Okay, moving on then. But just for fun let's say it take that long. Why won't Republicans work with Democrats to increase the funding for those areas so we could hire more people and process them more quickly?Which is usually not less than 7 years from the date they entered. We know from past experience that the longer an illegal remains here, the more likely it is that the Democrat government will find a way to keep them here since they've been here this long.
No one supports migrants illegally entering this country. Oh wait, no . . . I take that back. There are quite a few businesses that recruit in Mexico, probably with Republican owners, for cheap labor. That means nothing coming from the side that supports migrants illegally entering this country and causing this problem in the first place.
There's no one question as to the intent of the people's Democrat Party and weaponizing immigrants to destroy this country they were sworn to protect so they can "rebuild" it in their dystopian image. You obviously don't live in America. Illegal immigrants are arrested but "released" pending a court hearing, they simply don't show up to court and stay in the country. Trump signed a bill to stop "catch and release". Biden overturned it! Immigrants know this, they just need to get into the country and if they stay under the radar once released then they can live on indefinitely.
- 2.1 million migrants have been released (Jan. 2021-March 2023) after crossing the border illegally. Total releases are almost certainly higher, but until the government releases the full data, we can’t know the exact number.
- 850,000 visitors overstayed their visas and remained in the country illegally in 2022.
I can't help but wonder how many of these businesses are actually Republican. No one supports migrants illegally entering this country. Oh wait, no . . . I take that back. There are quite a few businesses that recruit in Mexico, probably with Republican owners, for cheap labor.
Why can't you understand that the reason that migrants are a problem is largely due to Republicans not Democrats. The Republicans are just hypocrites on the issue at several different levels.
Yes, the No True Republican Fallacy.
I can't help but wonder how many of these businesses are actually Republican.
Yep it's just that simple. The Left is too wimpy to call things the way they are. If a person sneaks into a country illegally then they are an illegal alien! If I went to France and overstayed my visa then I'm there illegally.
I'm sure if you look hard enough you'll find a whole brood of those businesses flourishing on illegal labor and voting Democrat.Yes, the No True Republican Fallacy.
And yet the Democrats are the only ones trying to do anything. Razor wire does not help. It can only kill and harm innocents. There's no one question as to the intent of the people's Democrat Party and weaponizing immigrants to destroy this country they were sworn to protect so they can "rebuild" it in their dystopian image.
