Bill Cosby found guilty

I guess we will just have to disagree.
If I pop some pills, then I drugged myself. Not the person I asked to give me the pills.
It's quite a different attitude, really. I put a higher priority on personal responsibility than lots of other folks.
Tom

So if I lie to you and you believe me, you take some pills, then I am free to do treat your body any way that I see fit, and let's be reasonable, as long as it leaves no lasting scars?

That isn't what I said.
I said people getting together for drugs and sex isn't a crime.

So you believe that if you were mislead by someone you trusted into taking something you thought was something else, then they proceeded to violate you while were unconscious, it would be you rather them in the wrong? Wow. I'm just glad the jury had enough sense to know better.

Twilight Hue

Twilight, not bright nor dark, good nor bad.
Maybe his punishment should include watching his own Fat Albert shows to teach him decency and being a human being.

Hey hey hey!!!

I was convinced he was guilty of multiple rapes.
So I'm pleased that he'll get prison time.
Why are you convinced of this?

He was a guy with a lot of clout in Media. I am certain that plenty of people were willing to trade sex for a career boost. I see no particular reason that he would have to rape anyone to get laid all he wanted.

Sleazy, to be sure. Humans are like that. Including the women who will "sleep their way to the top" if that's what works.
But when someone says "Cosby drugged Constant", they are flat out wrong. She drugged herself, according to the testimony. She went to some dude's place wanting "career advice", took pills, and had sex. Yeah, that's really gross. But he didn't slip drugs into her drink or something. She asked for, then took, a batch of blue pills before putting out.

Then she went back, IIRC.
She wanted something from Cosby, a lot.
I don't think it's right to hold him responsible for the outcome of choices that she made. Trashy as they both are.

So why do you think it's his fault? Because he's successful or because he's male? I am sure that you are too politically correct to imagine that it's because he's black.

Too many victims with the same story.

Dang it!
My hatred for successful males is out now.
Even the black ones.

This is a great start. Hopefully all the other charges and trials to come will follow suit. And that, hopefully, will help with real change. It's time.

And if he wanted some "strange" so badly he should have followed the Charlie Sheen method when questioned why a good looking young man hired so many hookers. Let me paraphrase:

'I did not pay them for sex, I paid them to go home.'

Cold and calculating but better than rape.

This late in life almost any reasonable prison sentence will be a life term.

This is true, and it makes me wonder if he might try to jump bail and flee the country. That was a fear of the prosecutor, who said that Cosby had a private plane (at which point Cosby exploded and denied it). There are numerous countries without extradition treaties with the U.S.

This late in life almost any reasonable prison sentence will be a life term. It also appears that there is no way that he can be rehabilitated. Not feeling too much pity for the man, simply sadness of what he seemed to be once in his life.

What if the judege gives him 2 years and he gets out in 1?
