Bill Cosby has been found guilty of 3 accounts of assault. Will he be serving prison time? What are your thoughts on his conviction?

It just goes to show that everyone potentially has more than one face. Is Fat Albert any less good for kids? Is the Cosby Show suddenly a bad show? Lets not have a nervous breakdown over it. Unfortunately the entire man, Bill Cosby, must be punished. We do not give brownie points to criminals or at least we had better not.

I remember as a kid, my parents had a bunch of Bill Cosby albums I used to listen to over and over.

I guess it just shows how much we really know about anyone.

They just recently caught the Golden State Killer... A serial killer back in the 70's. Now a father, grandfather. His kids knew nothing of his past. I imagine that's quite a shock finding out your father was an evil man.

Golden State Killer suspect was a recluse, neighbors say - CNN

My father was an evil man but I never met him so no biggie.

I haven't watched the case, but I was very much a fan of his before all this.

Same here. I still refer to funny scenes from his 1984/85 Himself monologue. There's no question in my mind that in the area of family humor, he was king. This is sad all the way around.

Some you suspect, like Savile (for being a shifty and arrogant tosser), but Cosby? He didn't stand out as being a likely abuser - but perhaps power played more than a part here.

What? Me worry?

"The chicken heart that ate Chicago" comes to mind. This a tragedy for all involved.

I was familiar with this, it was hard not be in the U.S.. Cosby at one time was called "America's Dad", no black, no white. He helped to bring he races together through humor. In a sense I feel the loss of a family member as a result.
I love I spy and later The Bill Cosby show, they were on our national TV.

The best we can do is to continue to like the other things he did and distance his good persona from the one we've now learned about.

Twilight Hue

Twilight, not bright nor dark, good nor bad.
Saddest part is I grew up with Bill Cosby as a kid watching his shows, listening to his records and seeing that friendly and funny face for pudding / Jell-O pops.

It's sad to see that persona go into the dumpster we know it was all a facade now, but when your a kid, it's like losing a tv father figure.

Makes a person wonder who to look up to anymore.

He should be sentenced in accordance with crimes committed. The fact that he is now elderly should hold no weight.....he has, after all, been allowed to roam free his entire life without paying the price for his crimes. Personally, he has been a big disappointment to me. I always held him in high regard for his work.

The former Temple University basketball administrator told jurors she took three blue pills from Cosby, which she thought were herbal, to help with stress while at his Cheltenham, Pennsylvania home in January 2004.
So,
Constand went to Cosby's house, asked for drugs, took the pills Cosby offered, then had sex.
Sleazy, definitely. Criminal? I don't buy that.
Maybe that's why I am not a feminist. I think women are capable of making their own decisions and taking responsibility for the outcome of those decisions. That makes me an egalitarian, not a feminist.

If someone misrepresents what the pills are that are being offered to them then yes it is rape. If I offer someone that trusts me aspirin for a headache and it turns out to be rohypnol, then yes that is rape.

I guess we will just have to disagree.
If I pop some pills, then I drugged myself. Not the person I asked to give me the pills.
It's quite a different attitude, really. I put a higher priority on personal responsibility than lots of other folks.
