Why do you say that?

The man is the most notorious monster of our time and you call him a hero.

Odd that you're advocating Ghandi and a bloodthirsty whore at the same time.

Here's Matthew 5:43-48:
43 “You have heard that it was said, ‘Love your neighbor and hate your enemy.’ 44 But I tell you, love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you, 45 that you may be children of your Father in heaven. He causes his sun to rise on the evil and the good, and sends rain on the righteous and the unrighteous. 46 If you love those who love you, what reward will you get? Are not even the tax collectors doing that? 47 And if you greet only your own people, what are you doing more than others? Do not even pagans do that? 48 Be perfect, therefore, as your heavenly Father is perfect.

That's not an excuse to call a murderer a hero. Or any other violently nasty thing.

That's a blatant advocation and approval of the violence he committed, and clearly not what Ghandi would do.

I think some muslims are largely intimidated to admit that they inherently admire Osama due to the resounding hatred and disgust of the man. Usually some will say "Osama is evil but........." as some have shown here. I find Osama iconic in the sense that he is an adversary to so-called "western imperialism."

Suppose an 'evil' man does skydiving (just an example that comes to mind), I'll call him 'brave' simply because I may not have the courage to do the same. It doesn't change the fact that he's 'evil', but neither does it dilute his courage.

I can also say this evil man is also foolish by putting himself in an uncontrollable situation. Ever heard of Custard's last stand? His actions were foolish although he is looked at as brave to some.

Osama isn't brave. He encourages young minded fools to fight for him. He hides in caves avoiding surveillance, yet claims to be brave. Osama was more of a perverse psychologist in his own way. He has convinced large groups of people to fight for a cause not of the people but of his own. I would respect him more if he attacked troops head on instead of targeting people plus troops. Osama and people like him are cowards. Sure, he didn't surrender but with a man as physically sick as he was I wouldn't surrender either.

Boldly Proudly Not PC
Heroic to certain of his people, absolutely. Highly educated no doubt.

Villain, because his agenda, his vision, slaughtered Muslims and non-Muslims alike.
And now, he's quite surprised.

Yes, I know. Of all the people a God created he made radical Muslims without a sense of humor.Threats and declarations of Fatwa and going into hiding so as to live through it, is not indicative of a religion of peace.

Good thing I'm atheist. ;)

Me too. I guess for some people peace means to slaughter those who don't fit your agenda of peace (religion).
Do you really believe that "atheists" are less likely to commit themselves to violence? Religion was not the primary reason for OBL's actions, it was the reality of the modern world and the corruption and destruction of his compatriots.
