Well, you did not disappoint.
I kinda figured you were talking out your backside when you disappeared after being asked to describe the difference.

You mean when I was working my evening case? Haha yeah, some of us do actually do things! If someone is seriously looking me in the eye, denying gods, and then asking what gods are, I'm just out. It's an absolute waste of time, no thought. It's like me denying bananas because I don't know what exactly a banana is. Just unsound, nonsensical garbage.

If you can read this, you are as lucky as I am.
@Kuzcotopia - much of what you say applies to any religious minority. There are some thoughts I could perhaps contribute, but this doesn't seem the thread for it. I suppose to share one thought, I find practicing fascination with everything around you - such that you learn to love and appreciate stories that are not your own - is helpful. Usually if you get your own ego out of the way and just listen to other people's stories, they probably won't even know or notice that you don't follow their mythos... lol. :D

Kinda poured my heart out in that last post about how much I have to listen and play along in a sea of people who would judge MY story very harshly, and wishing that. . .

*sigh*

I guess in the end, it was just my uppity ego getting in the way and I need to be more open and tolerant of Christians and their stories. . . people who won't listen to my story. . . And think I'm about as trustworthy as a sex offender.

Ole Bob the Atheist, he never has this issue, does he?

No worries, Quint . . . Still think your awesome and I do see what your angle was there, I just want to make sure you see mine as well.

OK then we need to differentiate between "I'm an atheist for based on reason and evidence", and "I'm an atheist because I have the intelligence and knowledge of a baby or rock."
Simplifying can be your choice. I would rather think natural atheism doesn't tell anything of your mental capacity, just a lack of belief. My atheism certainly didn't change between ages 7-27 as no new information or experience changed my view of God. Though I would think I had better knowledge and intelligence later having read multiple holy books. Also now that I'm neither theist or atheist, I don't think I've become smarter or more knowledgeable because of just that.

Nah, I'm tired of wasting time where there's nothing to be learned.
That's your choice, of course. Your failure to reply will mean that I'm still batting 1000 when it comes to asking people what they mean by "god" and getting either a nonsensical response or no response at all. ;)

Sounds like back peddling.

No need trying to justify yourself to me.
Like I said, I already figured it to be bull **** before you confirmed it.

It is comical how in destroying his own claim he is reinforcing your point.

Theist/atheist is a binary position.

Everyone on this earth either eats meat or doesn't eat meat, there is no third position.

Everyone on this earth either has two legs or does not have two legs.

Everyone on this earth either owns an iPhone or does not own an iPhone

Everyone on this earth either believes god/s exist or doesn't believe God/s exist.

The way the language is structured doesn't allow for any third position.

Thiesm describes some people who have a particular belief, and atheism describes some people who deny that belief. It's not necessary for anyone to either hold that belief or deny it.

Depends on how you use the language.

You might not like it, but agnosticism has traditionally been distinct from theism and atheism.

The language even exists to have more than 3 positions

The language exists regardless of whether or not you give it your seal of approval.
