Fifty years ago I was gullible enough and idealistic enough to think that the Baha'i Faith would work. Now I'm not confident at all, because they have trouble answering the simplest of questions about their Baha'i plan for peace. I see the plan failing right from the start when it expects all the nations of the world to disarm. The world fails to meet the criteria implied by Abdu’l-Bahá: "one religion" and "one race" and no "differences among nations". Moreover, forging a New World Order on the premises of one religion, one race, and the destruction of national identities is an ideological recipe for mass-scale violence. Really, you can't get there through the use of physical force and the threat of obscene horrors. Heaven is above Earth; the spirit directs the material; and outer harmony is an extension of inner tranquility.
Maybe I'm being too pessimistic. Maybe if asked nicely Russia, North Korea, China, Iran, the U.S.. Israel and on and on.... will all comply. Then the next step... God will snap his fingers and all people the world over will love and respect one another.
Actually no, that's not quite what the Baha'is say... Because their prophet said we should all love one another that we will do it. Just like everyone loved their neighbor like themselves because Jesus told them to.
