California wants to break free and form their own liberal utopia.

I say yes they should. Let the rest of America see what a great and wonderful dystopia...eh...society they would make.

They'll be vulnerable to Revoltistanian conquest.
Yes, they're bigger, but we'll move there to go on welfare & drain their economy.
Destroy from within!

I think they'll be fine if they do secede.
"In terms of annual GDP, California would rank sixth worldwide if it were a separate nation."
That's pretty good for a nation California's size.
I'll be eating popcorn in the meantime.

Some Calfornians want independence, About 15% North Carolinans want secede from the union and reestablish the Confederacy. The percentages are about the same through out the South except for Virginia, which has a large influx of Northerners. A large percentage of Texans also want to secede from the USA. In recent polls 31% want right to secede, and 18% want Texas to secede.

Were California able to separate itself from the insanity of federal partisan politics, I would consider moving there.
They probably won't miss being the state that gets the least back from the federal tax dollars they subsidize the redder states with.

As opposed to Texas.

Why the California bashing? This is your second negative thread on Cali.

Have you visited it?

Stop watching Fox news. California is not perfect but I highly doubt it's as grossly bad as you think it is.

Only some of Californians want to secede and no one here calls it Utopia. So get some perspective for yourself.

I really enjoyed it when I went. Way more than just churches, bars, and drugs to do, I was gaining exposure as a photography, the Sequoia and King's Canyon park are Heaven, and seeing the Luminaries of Pantheism mural suddenly made my trip feel like I was on a pilgrimage I didn't know about and found my sacred destination. And Venice Beach smells like a Black Sabbath concert. :p (Didn't like this one guy though who set off every piggy flag and alarm my body has the way he was trying to sell some pot to me)

Well Californians screwed Oregon and now they are moving here with the liberal policies. Now I don't mind if you are leaving Kalifornia and moving here because you can't stand the politics of Kalifornia, but those that move here and bring their Kalifornia liberal polices with them I say the former Governor of Oregon, Tom McCall had it right.
