Can countries respond to Coronavirus without Medical Aid for All?

Soap is more effective at fighting the corona virus, alcohol products are less effective because they don't involve washing off the hands.

Get real, Shad.
Soap and water cannot sterilize like alcohol based cleansers. We just went to hospital and hand cleansing points are everywhere, just as I described.

Buy some alcohol then.

I guess a lot of people are incapable of being creative anymore.

Don't advertise your lack of knowledge !!! :p

I just taking the **** out of people panicking and whining about running out of hand cleaners. If people are going OCD over hand cleanser they would be better of isolating themselves or getting a bubble suit.

I wonder if any of those large bubble toys companies have consider making a medical version over the counter.

I already suggested that to you, used in a vaporiser.

Just listen to the medics, Shad.
You know nothing useful about mass protection, obviously.
You're embarrassing yourself, of only you knew.

If you want to know the size of a problem look at what is happening in the financial world.
It is an astonishing accurate predictor of just about everything from elections to disasters.

So? My point wasn't advice. It was about people being OCD and not thinking of alternatives based on the comment about Italy. I am not providing advice to you as if you are freaking out.

I am talking the **** out of people, ridiculing, going on buying sprees because they give into fear from constant media bombardment. You are taking all of this far too seriously and ignoring people are acting like panicked sheep. I survived the SARS panic. Heck I made some money those days as people destroyed their whole stock without a sign of SARS. It helped pay for school.

If nations want to contain the virus quarantine China and close their own national borders until check points are setup.

The stock markets are crashing to lower levels than in 2008. You can laugh but this is going to affect jobs and security for millions.

And if this virus hits Canada then you will be affected soon enough.

Laugh away in your lack of knowledge, yes?

I said nothing about stock markets. I am talking about people panicking while using low end solutions that are impractical. SARS had a drop in the market too.

And if this virus hits Canada then you will be affected soon enough.

It is already here. We have been quarantining people on an island of the coast when possible. I can still buy hand cleanser. I am not on wage pay.

Laugh away in your lack of knowledge, yes?

No I am laughing at people panicking like sheep again just like they did with SARS. You just took me seriously as if I were providing advice. Do not worry I miss sarcasm in text at times. Move on

CDC recommends washing hands with soap and water whenever possible because handwashing reduces the amounts of all types of germs and chemicals on hands. But if soap and water are not available, using a hand sanitizer with at least 60% alcohol can help you avoid getting sick and spreading germs to others. The guidance for effective handwashing and use of hand sanitizer in community settings was developed based on data from a number of studies.

Trump said it's a hoax. Rush said it's just the common cold. And of course they know it all and would never lie. Of course.

Handwashing is both practical and effective.

Not panicking is always good advice. Neither is minimizing a real risk, both health wise and economic.

Just as I get a flu shot and take health precautions against the flu, I'm taking health precautions against novel coronavirus.

Just as I try to invest carefully and be mindful of economic trends without getting emotionally crazy, I am watching what is going on carefully and thinking about my investments accordingly.

fear from constant media bombardment.

The media, left and right, makes money when they feed people what excites them and that is often fear.

So it's great advice to ignore the fear mongers of all stripes and look at reputable web sites for advice.

Apparently, what Trump actually said was that his opponents assessment of the way he's been dealing with the situation is their new hoax, he wasn't saying the virus itself is a hoax.

It is the 24/7 stations. Many have such a narrow focus that they just repeat the stories of the day every 30-1 hour time slot.

So it's great advice to ignore the fear mongers of all stripes and look at reputable web sites for advice.

Best bet is to contact your GP for advice. My GP is emailing his patients various government guidelines, leaflets, warnings, etc.

You provoked me to look for what was actually said.

Trump Calls Coronavirus Reporting A Hoax And Blames CNN

So in effect he was saying that the media was lying about the novel coronavirus. The only one I know that actually lied was Limbaugh.

Although Trump saying that only 15 were infected and were all getting better that was a part of that quote? Is he lying or not when he says provably false things?

Did some media outlets put a political spin? Yes, both on the right and left. But deliberately lie? Anyone who claims that needs to provide a concrete example.

No, he's saying that one news station is exaggerating. That's a far cry from calling the virus itself a hoax.

The only one I know that actually lied was Limbaugh.

Although Trump saying that only 15 were infected and were all getting better that was a part of that quote? Is he lying or not when he says provably false things?

That would depend on when he said it.

Did some media outlets put a political spin? Yes, both on the right and left. But deliberately lie? Anyone who claims that needs to provide a concrete example.
And the spin is what Trump was talking about when he used the word hoax, which is, again, a far cry from calling the virus itself a hoax, which is what a lot of the headlines today are claiming he said.

I would call that lying by implication.

Ok.
But alcohol based hand sanitizer can be used more easily, effectively and quickly. That's who all medics, everybody... is getting hold of hand sanitizer. There is a mass of soap products on our shelves, but no hand sanitizer. Says it all.

OMG.
No sensible politician would stick their neck out like that. If coronavirus is as tenacious as our medics believe, then it sure won't listen to Trump or anybody else.
He can try building a wall around it? :p

Yes, it says a bunch of idiots think hand sanitizer is more effective than soap and water; it isn't!!
