The fact than Paul brings it up, is what I base that opinion on.

The fact that some Christians will make such sweeping judgemental pronouncements based on human's assertions, and ignore Jesus and His version, which is "Love God, Love your neighbors, the rest is details".

Threads like this leave me convinced that Christianity means little beyond "Whatever somebody who self-identifies as Christian happens to believe".

Do you know why the writers felt that God thinks wasting semen is evil? Do you know why they thought men having sex together is evil? Until you understand those things, you oughtn't waste everyone's time spouting platitudes. There are legitimate reasons why they felt that way, and also why it doesn't pertain to us.

I'm sorry you feel that way. I read through the Bible not to memorize parts of it but, to understand That Which Inspired it. Neither do I take one part of the Bible above or instead of the other parts that don't contradict Jesus or His Apostles. They wrote what they did for God's sake and ours. The fact that life threatening disease is readily spread by homosexuality as well as promiscuity is well established and it is expensive to fight those illnesses. Monogamy can limit those illnesses to a point, but only to a point. That makes the practices dangerous to human society and violates the law of love that Jesus taught, and another; "Do unto others as you would have them do unto you."

Sadly it is my opinion, from the stories from gays I've heard, that, at least, most of them were abused as children by homo type pedophiles. They grow up not knowing what they are or the pleasure of a woman.
I do not mean to condemn them and have had one as a friend, but, the Bible is pretty clear on how God views the practice.

Haha. The only thing my mother did was compared me to stereotypes saying (after years of learning to accept),

I was speaking from what I have experience with and what I have heard. A herd of unicorns does not exist. They are solitary by nature and pure as the driven snow. They are a symbol of Jesus Christ.

I've been married for almost 40 years and never had an affair. I married as a virgin and am currently age related celiate. There are some of us who obey Jesus, who said: you shall not commit adultery.

If you are gong to apply the null hypothesis to what Jesus said then you would need to apply the null hypothesis to the whole Bible and that ends up with it being unbelievable. Careful which tools you use.
