Response: Likewise.

so i guess i wasted my time trying to teach you the proper use of the word "likewise". or maybe you really are admitting to being in denial & being a liar. or maybe your just not so good with english, which may be understandable, i dont know what country your from. then again, i did inform you that your were using the word incorrectly, and yet you continue to use it incorrectly..........that certainly sounds like something you'd do. willful ignorance, i can only guess what that must be like

I am an Athiest.
OK

I have never believed in a personal God as worshipped by any of the Abrahamic Religions.
OK as well...

Throughout my life, I have not encountered a single piece of evidence that supports the claim that such a God exists.
Could this not say more about your method of approach, rather than the lack of evidence?

Need, desire, desperation, or fear are NOT factors when I am deciding if God exists, nor is the threat that I’ll “burn in hell if I don’t”. Also, I cannot accept “because I said so” as a valid argument for anything.
Sounds like you are talking with the wrong people

Bottom line, I am unable to exclude my belief in God from the same level of critical-thinking that I use to believe anything else in my life, and therefore, I have come to the conclusion that God does not exist.
Life is long, many people that have gone from not-believing to believing, and then back to not-believing. Give it time your mind will keep working, and you may be wrestling with it until the day you die.
So I say again, I have never encountered a single piece of evidence that supports the claim that an Abrahamic God exists, and I invite anyone to help me “see the light” by providing any such evidence.
Let me ask you this. Why do you want evidence so badly? You have already concluded God is not real from your extensive research, and world search, so why waist time asking for more evidence to examine? Could it be, deep down inside you really want God to exist?
Regarding Non-Abrahamic Gods, I’d like to keep those a separate consideration for the time being.
Again, thanks for sharing your journey, but I suspect your journey is long from over.

Absolutely... it is without doubt my method and approach, along with what I can accept as evidence.

As much as some religious people have a need for god to exist, I have a need to apply the same level of critical-thinking to my religious beliefs, as I do when I decide to believe anything else. I am not able to make religious beliefs exempt from this.

It's not that I don't want to believe in god, it's just that based on the "evidence" I have been shown throughout my life, I simply cannot reach the conclusion that an interfering god exists.

I have never been shown a single, empircal, properly-documented piece of evidence that supports the claim that god exists. Hence the challenge issued in this thread to provide some.

so you went from 'Evidence' to "scientific evidence"?

Yup... for clarity.

I'd like to avoid discussing burnt toast as evidence. Perhaps my mind is going, but didn't we have this conversation earlier in the thread where I acknowledged my mistake in not putting more definition around the word evidence?

I just wonder why you would be wasting your time asking for something you already know does not exist.

Test of patience?

No one will ever be able to provide the OP with the "evidence God exists" that he is asking for and we all know it. For those that believe in God, their evidence is rooted in faith. For everyone else, God would need to step out of the heavens and go door-to-door performing miracles (and even that wouldn't be sufficient proof for some).

These "prove that God exists" threads grow tiresome IMO. It's like debating which came first, the chicken or the egg? Pointless.

I'm calling "troll" on this one. Sorry.

What did come first, the chicken or the egg?

Stop arguing... here's proof that God was first, the chicken second, the egg third, and the omelet fourth...
