It just occurred to me that I am a funny drawing.I certainly understand that.
And if any Muslim makes a funny drawing of me, or anyone I care about, I promise I won’t attack them with rifles and bombs.

Offending people on purpose, politically or religious is not ok in my view. People know Muslims see a caricature of Muhammad as something that is not right to do. Why should people not accept that and not draw them?

Satirical magazines will always take on topics that are relevant to the times.
It's what keeps their humor....... relevant.
If you look at past issues, covid19 obviously also gets tackled.

(the coffee almost came out of my noes from laughter with that "moi, ça va" text balloon btw )
The irony here, is that if islamist terrorists wouldn't be all up in our western face with their intolerance and hate, they wouldn't even get any airtime. Because they wouldn't be news.
Worse still, if it wouldn't have been for their ridiculously out-of-this-cosmos reaction to it, then practically nobody outside of Paris would even know what Charlie Hebdo is.
You are not a muslim so I do not think you can change their view on hjab, by the way, are you against western woman covering their her with a scarf?Because we live in a free world and anybody can get offended about anything.
They have a right to draw what they want and others have a right to feel offended.
What's next? Homosexuality should be illegal, because it offends muslims as well?
Maybe I'm offended by hijabs. So I guess that means that muslima's no longer get to wear them?
They're somewhere in S Korea.And when I find the artist ....
They're somewhere in S Korea.
Good luck.
Jesus!I am for the blasphemy law yes, it was a shame they removed it.
I don't think he has many connections in S Korea though.I’ll have a word with Kim.
He can have it taken care of.
We’re good friends. In fact we’re great friends. Perfect friends.
Most people don’t know this but Kim is a great guy. A very successful guy. Everybody loves him in North Korea. We do a lot of business. He says I’m a genius. A very stable genius.
Jesus is seen as a prophet in Islam so no harm doneJesus!
...
Oeps... i'm already guilty... I called out the lord's name in vain...
I don't think he has many connections in S Korea though.
Consider that a law against blasphemy authorizes stateI am for the blasphemy law yes, it was a shame they removed it.
Or Australistan & Brigadoon?Aren’t they the same country ? Like North and South America ? Or Russia and Finland ?
I certainly understand that.
And if any Muslim makes a funny drawing of me, or anyone I care about, I promise I won’t attack them with rifles and bombs.
"equal to everyone" and "those who are religious or spiritual".It will of course be equal to everyone. A law should be there to protect those who are religious or spiritual from any teaching.
I do not think jail is neededConsider that a law against blasphemy authorizes state
violence as enforcement. There's the threat of jail if
a fine isn't paid, imprisonment as the primary punishment,
or death (as in Islamic countries).
Is this a solution worse than the problem?
What then?I do not think jail is needed
Those who has no religion should be respected as human beings, and likewise the other way around"equal to everyone" and "those who are religious or spiritual".
Do you see the contradiction?
What about those who are irreligious and rational?
That relationship is getting strained. The Brigadoonians have been making unflattering cartoons of Crocodile Dundee.Or Australistan & Brigadoon?
I agree with you that this shouldn't be solved by violence, but some Muslims do.
We are forced nowadays to wear the mask when in public, I have no freedom when my
acts may harm the others, insulting may have an psychological effect.
Imagine someone told you as kind of insult, I slept with your mum and she was great,
I wonder if you'll say, OK, have a nice time.
