Again, there are two questions; on the question would I keep the commandment - yes, most assuredly; would I murder someone? - NO, I would not.

If I was acting in complete authority and under the watchful eye of God as an instrument in His hands to accomplish His purposes at His undeniable and direct command then dispatching the life of another back through the veil would not be murder.

Do you know how many people over the years have been locked in institutions for the criminally insane for following the same line of thinking you just outlined? Murder is murder. Period. I would stop them by whatever means I felt necessary at the time(I own several swords ). Children are our most precious recource! There is absolutely no reason to ever hurt (much less kill) a child!

How would you go about verifying that the entity who asked you to do this was actually God? I assume you would want to make damn sure of that before you start offing your kid. It seems to me that it would be much more likely that you are just out of your mind and hearing voices. I think I would first try seeing a shrink.

That has been a charge levelled at various ethnic and religious groups throughout the centuries. Christians claimed this about Jews, Cathars, Bogomils, etc. It is a convenient excuse to kill everybody and take their stuff!
