Actually, to a large degree, it does. In the places where you aren't allowed to have a gun more people are killed by guns.
Oh, you mean the USA?

And you aren't listening very well. The threat of violence stops a lot of violence before it begins.
So Chris Rock made a joke. And then Will Smith went up on stage and hit him. So you are saying here that using violence against mere words is justified. And also that it's necessary to stop more violence. Huh?

Remember in the riots when people were using megaphones to scream into the faces of citizens just going about their business?

In that situation, where someone is screaming obscenities in your face, you should get a pass for slugging them, IMO.
So you advocate using violence against words. Because why? Your feelings are hurt or something? Why is violence justified in the situation you've given?

Too many people have gotten used to being vulgar, hateful individuals online and not getting punched in the face for it.
"Being vulgar" isn't an act of violence.

So free speech isn't a right if the person you're speaking to doesn't like it, AND, that offended person is perfectly justified in using violence to combat your words? Nah, I'm not on board with that. That sounds like it will beget more violence, not less.

Will Smith Exclusive: Fresh Prince Rescued By Crown Prince of Dubai Days After Oscar Slap Flap

Where in the world is Will Smith?

Sources say that days after the Oscar slap flap, Will was flown by his BFF, the Crown Prince of Dubai, Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, aka “Fazza,” to the middle Eastern kingdom so he could cool out while his bad press burns like a California wildfire.
