Historical records show that Islam and Christianity played an important role in enslavement in Africa. The Arab-controlled Trans-Saharan slave trade helped to institutionalise slave trading on the continent. And during the 'age of expedition', European Christians witnessed caravans loaded with Africans en-route to the Middle East.

Nowhere in Genesis does it say anything about Ham turning black.

Noah cursed Ham and Canaan because Canaan was the result of an incestuous affair between Ham an his own mother (Noah's wife). That is what it talks about when Genesis speaks of Noah becoming drunken and then Ham "saw his father's nakedness". That's what happened. Ham got Noah drunk then impregnated his own mother.

Now unless you believe 2 Jews having sex can produce a black baby then you have no case really. Or maybe you believe Noah and his whole family were black? If that's so then why would Noah condemn his whole race to slavery? You are making no sense at all with your logic.

So that being said.

Native Africans enslaved each other and sold their own kin to the highest bidder for thousands of years. 2 Tribes would war over land/resources. The winning tribe would take over the land and resources of the losing tribe. They would then sell any remaining tribe members, mostly women/children.

Secondly it was Christian abolitionist that ended slavery in America. Christian Abolitionism - Wikipedia So without the Bible who knows how much longer slavery would have endured.
