Are you familiar with Spam? It's just another brand of potted meat product that's comparable to that. I usually find that sort of thing gross.

The other night I cooked sausages with a tomato and basil/thyme sauce, mashed spuds, and corn on the cob.

That's my kind of comfort food. Hearty and relatively simple, nothing too flash.

Ah okay, never tried Spam but I've seen it on the shelf. I've eaten lots of fritz though, I wonder if that's similar.

I grew up on Mac and cheese, fried rice and creamed corn on the same dish. To this day, when I just want to be reminded of my mom, I make that for dish for lunch or dinner.

there is a treat I would love to have right about now, but it is a Southern Miss treat. Potato logs and chicken fried corn on the cob.:drool: Now that was some comfort.

My dog and I get the munchies and pretty much chow down on everything from chicken legs to pizza with all the works to mountainpie enchiladas. Sometimes we'll get into milkshake helmets or barrels of cotton candy, especially when we get nervous or scaried.
