the older I get, the more 'unquestionable fact' becomes a red flag, it's usually used in lieu of evidence it seems

Given the state of the world at present, can't we see science's contribution to what is becoming our nightmare?
Technology has given us a lot of 'gadgets' and toys and modes of entertainment...but none so popular as the Internet. But according to research, the very thing we are all hooked on is slowly killing us. The radiation emitted by our devices is cooking our brains. Microwaves are all around us. We all have memory issues and we don't know why......that's why.

In addition to all the other things wrong with your JW beliefs, we can now add one more - hypocrisy.

You drive cars, fly in airplanes, use computers, etc. If you were honest, you would eschew technological advancements and live like the Amish do. But you aren't.

I would think it's pretty obvious. By far, you're the most "talkative" creationist here, and a lot of your posts consist of trash talking and taunting the rest of us about how you've concluded that there is no evidence for evolution. But as our recent exchange demonstrates, you are about as biased as a person can be on the subject, due to the fact that you are a Jehovah's Witness and the position that puts you in. Specifically, you've made it abundantly clear that one cannot be a Jehovah's Witness and acknowledge evolutionary theory as valid science, lest they be faced with a choice.....either leave the faith or be treated extremely poorly by other Jehovah's Witnesses. And as you also made very clear, either option would strip your life of hope, meaning, and purpose.

I also note that you don't seem to have any problem bringing other people's faiths and beliefs into the discussion, such as your recent exchange with @exchemist and your exchanges with atheists. Given that, why do you think your faith and beliefs should be off limits?

The title of this thread is about people being afraid to 'come out as creationists'...I think you demonstrate with every post why that might be so. What person with any sensibilities wants to deal with people like you?

Why are you so reluctant to talk about how being a Jehovah's Witness influences your views on the subject? Are you ashamed of your faith?

How about some real "evidence" (heaven forbid we should ask for proof) for your pet theory?

You know Deeje, this is what I really don't get about you. I fully understand where you're coming from when it comes to science and evolutionary biology. I understand how all of your views on the subject directly stem from the teachings and doctrine of the Jehovah's Witnesses. I understand how meaningful being a Jehovah's Witness is to you. I certainly don't agree with it, but I understand it.

But this? I just don't get this bizarre pattern you have where you keep challenging me to present evidence over and over and over, apparently unaware that each time you've done that over the past few days I've responded by saying I would as long as we pick up where we last left off. Looking back through the past few weeks, I see at least 4 separate times where you made this challenge, I responded with "pick up where we left off CLICK HERE", and each and every time you completely ignored it. And now here you are doing it again.

It's weird. Do you have memory issues and as a result you just keep forgetting my replies? Are you in such a hurry that you gloss over my posts and just accidentally missed every one of my replies? Do you have reading comprehension issues and never really understood my replies? Do you not know what "CLICK HERE" means?

I've been in this thread almost since it's beginning. I don't think Jose Fly has taken any of your words out of context. In fact, I've walked away with the same impression about your beliefs that he has taken the time to point out here for you. And quite honestly, your post here has solidified that even more.

That's one good thing about having these interactions in a written format (and in a forum with a good search function). Whenever someone tries to weasel out of what they said earlier, it's simply a matter of pulling up their old posts and quoting their own words back to them.

Of course the real entertainment is when they try and say "That's not what I meant", but when asked to clarify they make excuses and run away. That's when you fully understand exactly who you're dealing with.

I wonder what happens next, to a person whose life
is invested in JW or christian science, should the chip chip
chip finally break through, and the person experiences the
epiphany that they have been trapped in a cult.

Then what? Is it for certain that it is for the better?
